Binzhou, also known as Yizhou, is a city under the jurisdiction of Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province. It is located in the northwest of Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province, 50 km south of the provincial capital Xi 160 km north of Pingliang/KLOC-0 in Gansu Province. The terrain inclines from southeast to northwest, belonging to the warm temperate semi-arid continental monsoon climate. Binzhou City is located in the west of Weibei Plateau in Shaanxi Province, northwest of Xianyang City, between east longitude107 49' ~108 22' and north latitude 34 51'~ 3517'. It is adjacent to Xunyi and Chunhua County in the east and bounded by Liangjiacun and Jinchigou in Gao Long Township. It is bordered by Changwu County and Lingtai County in Gansu Province in the west, and by the seed slope of Anhuagou and Chejiazhuang Township. It borders Yongshou and linyou county in the south, and is bounded by Baijiahe, Goutougou and Nanping in Didian Township. It borders Zhengning County, Gansu Province in the north, and the Silang River is the boundary. The city is 0/50km away from Xi 'an/Kloc-0 and 20km away from Xianyang/Kloc-0.
Binzhou is a hilly and gully region of Longdong Loess Plateau. The terrain is high in the southwest and low in the northeast. Jinghe River obliquely crosses the central part from northwest to southeast, dividing Binzhou into two platforms, northeast and southwest, and both platforms are inclined to the lower reaches of Jinghe River. The platform is broken and the ravines are densely covered. There are 4089 gullies, including main gullies 12 gullies, with an area of 639.59 square kilometers, accounting for 54. 1% of Binzhou's total area. It can be said that "there are many plateaus in Shandagou, and two mountains, five ditches and three fields are divided".
