Located in Changsha, Hunan Province, the National University of Defense Technology of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (hereinafter referred to as the National University of Defense Technology) is a comprehensive military university directly under the Central Military Commission of China, and has always been a key institution for national and military construction.

It is one of the national key construction projects in the First Five-Year Plan 156, one of the 20 national key universities identified by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China 1959, the first batch of universities with the right to award master's and doctoral degrees in the State Council, the first batch of pilot graduate schools in China, and the first batch of universities to enter the national "21Project" construction plan, and it is also the only one.

2. Central South University

Central South University, located in Changsha, Hunan Province, is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC), ranking among the national "Class A", "985 Project" and "21/Project". It was selected as the leading university in the national "20 1 1 plan", "1 1 plan", strong foundation plan, excellent engineer education and training plan, excellent doctor education and training plan, and excellent legal talent education and training plan.

As well as the National Demonstration Base for Training Innovative Talents, the National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Plan for College Students, the National Postgraduate Program for Building High-level Universities, the New Engineering Research Practice Project, the China Government Scholarship Receiving Institution for Overseas Students, the Independent Examiner of Degree Authorization, the National Intellectual Property Demonstration University, one of the first five universities in China to carry out eight-year medical education (joint study of bachelor's and doctoral degrees), and members of the China-Central Asian University Alliance and the China-Russia Jiaotong University Alliance.

Hunan University, referred to as "Huda", is located in Changsha City, Hunan Province. It is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC). Jointly built by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Hunan Provincial People's Government and the State Bureau of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, it ranks among the national "World-class University Construction Universities", "985 Project" and "2 1 1 Project". Selected as "Everest Plan", "20 1 1 plan", "11plan" and excellent engineer education and training plan.

As well as the excellent legal talents education and training plan, the national high-level university construction graduate program, and the national new engineering research and practice project, it is a national demonstration university for deepening the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education, a base for the transformation and technology transfer of scientific and technological achievements in colleges and universities, a national intellectual property demonstration university, a national cultural quality education base for college students, and a China government scholarship receiving institution for overseas students. He is a member of the BRICS University Alliance and the "Yangtze River-Volga River" University Alliance.
