Hebei University of Economics and Business was founded in 1953 as Shijiazhuang Cooperative School of Hebei Supply and Marketing Cooperatives. 1995 Hebei Institute of Finance and Economics, Hebei Institute of Economics and Trade and Hebei Business School were merged.
The school is located in Shijiazhuang, the capital of Hebei Province, covering an area of more than 3,400 mu. It is divided into four campuses: north, south, east and west, with the north campus as the headquarters. The school implements two-level management, with 15 undergraduate colleges, 4 teaching departments and graduate schools, continuing education colleges and economic management colleges (independent colleges). At present, there are 52 undergraduate majors, 8 first-class disciplines authorized by master's degree, 47 disciplines authorized by master's degree, and 10 master's degree awarding points such as Master of Law (JM) and Master of Business Administration (MBA). There are 7 provincial key disciplines and 2 provincial key development disciplines, among which industrial economics is an excellent provincial key discipline. The school enrolls students from 23 provinces (municipalities and autonomous regions), with more than 30,000 full-time undergraduate and graduate students and more than 3000 continuing education students/kloc-0. At present, there are more than 2 100 teaching staff and nearly 1 100 full-time teachers, including more than 680 people with associate senior titles and above, and more than 220 doctors and doctoral students. Among the teachers, there are more than 100 experts who enjoy the special allowance of the State Council, experts selected by the "New Century Excellent Talents Support Program" of the Ministry of Education, outstanding experts in provincial management, young and middle-aged experts with outstanding contributions in the province, and outstanding young experts in social sciences in the province.
