Two songs in Bailudong, the first one.
[Tang] Wang Zhenbai
Concentrate on reading, I know that spring has passed, and every inch of time is as precious as an inch of gold.
It is not Taoism that mocks, but the teachings of Duke Zhou are devoted to the study of Confucius.
"An inch of time is worth an inch of gold, but a thousand dollars can't buy an inch of time" can be said to be a well-known motto to persuade people to cherish time. However, some sources of this poem do not mention Wang Zhenbai's poems. The article "Inch Yin" in the new edition of Ci Yuan is quoted from Shu Tong's poem "Send" in the Yuan Dynasty: "Try your best to indulge in the morning, and an inch of time is an inch of gold." In fact, as early as the Tang Dynasty, when Wang Zhenbai was studying in Bailu Cave under the Five Old Peaks in Lushan Mountain, he wrote the famous sentence "One inch of time is one inch of gold".
Translation:
Concentrate on reading, before you know it, spring has passed, and every inch of time is like gold. It's not that Taoist priests laugh at it, but that they put the essence of Duke Zhou and Confucius' thoughts and theories into their study.
Precautions:
1, spring depth: late spring, late spring.
2, inch shadow: time is very short.
3, laugh: laugh, joke.
4. Zhou Qing Confucius: refers to the essence and teaching of Duke Zhou Confucius.
5. Pursuit: in-depth study.
Appreciate:
The poet's reading life, with the attitude of cherishing time like gold and concentrating on knowledge, tells us that we should also get inspiration and education from it. Knowledge is accumulated by time. Only by enriching yourself, cherishing time and doing things can we get twice the result with half the effort.
