How to educate students with learning difficulties?
Students with learning difficulties have experienced too many learning failures because of their poor academic performance, and their self-esteem has been hurt, resulting in weak learning motivation, lack of confidence and low enthusiasm. These negative emotions in turn become obstacles for them to continue their studies. Cultivating healthy psychological quality and enhancing psychological endurance are important ways to help students with learning difficulties get out of their learning difficulties. (1) Stimulate learning motivation. Learning motivation is an internal motivation that directly promotes and maintains students' active learning, and it is one of the basic psychological factors in learning. Students with learning difficulties generally have weak motivation and insufficient motivation. To stimulate learning motivation, the first thing is to let students know the meaning of learning. First, understand the social significance of learning, link current school learning with future social development and national rejuvenation, enhance students' sense of historical responsibility and stimulate students' long-term motivation; Second, we should understand the specific purpose of learning each subject and the specific significance of related knowledge, so as to improve the initiative and self-learning ability of the corresponding subject. In this way, students with learning difficulties realize that learning is not only the need of their own immediate interests, but also related to the development of society and the rejuvenation of the nation, thus stimulating their learning motivation, replacing inertia with a positive and enterprising attitude, and changing from asking me to learn to learning (2) building up learning confidence. Although many students with learning difficulties pretend to be indifferent to the failure in their studies, in fact, they have a heavy sense of inferiority. To let them eliminate their inferiority complex and build up their confidence, we must first understand the truth. Teachers should guide students with learning difficulties to realize that everyone with normal development has strong learning potential, and there is no natural difference between cleverness and stupidity. Poor academic performance does not mean poor intelligence. As long as they are confident, self-reliant, have proper methods and work hard, they will certainly catch up with the top students. Secondly, we should experience success. In class, teachers can often design some questions that students with learning difficulties can answer, and give them encouragement and praise in time to increase their successful psychological experience and share their satisfactory psychological feelings. Over time, they will make up for the psychological trauma of losing self-confidence, gradually establish self-confidence, and enhance the initiative and enthusiasm of learning. (3) Cultivate interest in learning. Psychological research shows that things of interest are easy to attract attention. If children watch TV, play games and surf the Internet, they can concentrate without reminding them because they are interested. Once an individual is interested in learning activities, the efficiency of learning activities can be improved. As early as more than two thousand years ago, Confucius suggested that the knower is not as good as the walker. Mr. Tao Xingzhi also said that students are willing to go all out to do things if they are interested, and learning and fun are inseparable. It can be seen that cultivating learning interest is an effective means to promote the transformation of students with learning difficulties from hard study to happy study. Therefore, according to students' reality, teachers can make full use of various favorable factors, choose flexible and diverse teaching methods, stimulate learning interest and attract students with learning difficulties to pay attention to learning. (4) Enhance self-education ability. The ability of self-education is to solve one's own psychological and behavioral problems mainly by oneself. Teachers can't teach students all their lives. Only by enhancing students' self-education ability can they benefit for life.
