1, Chongqing Vocational College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering is located in Chongqing. It is the backbone vocational college in Chongqing, the first batch of pilot units of vocational school reform at undergraduate level in China, and the first China People's Liberation Army oriented training non-commissioned officers college in Chongqing.

The school was founded in 197 1, formerly known as Chongqing Ordnance Industry Workers College, and consists of eight vocational universities: Chang 'an, Jiangling, Jialing, Jianshe, Changjiang, Wangjiang, Xi Che and Lu Hua.
