Hefei University is located in Hefei, the capital of Anhui Province, one of the four major scientific and educational bases in China. On March 4th, 2002, with the approval of the Ministry of Education (Jiao Fa Han [2002] No.46), Hefei Education College and Hefei Normal School were merged and formed. Hefei University is a multi-disciplinary full-time undergraduate institution of higher learning focusing on engineering, economy and management, with arts, science and teaching at the same time.

Hefei University is divided into three campuses: North Campus, South Campus and East Campus, covering an area of 1.822 mu. The campus is surrounded by green trees and has a beautiful environment. The school has a building area of more than 373,000 square meters, teaching and research instruments and equipment with a total value of more than 49 million yuan and a collection of 560,000 books. At present, there are 737 on-the-job teaching and administrative staff, 536 full-time teachers, 74 professional and technical positions above junior high school 100, and more than one part-time teacher at home and abroad100, including nearly 20 foreign teachers who are in school all the year round. In addition, the college also has adult education college, basic experiment and practice teaching center, library, modern education technology center, journal editorial department, Sino-German environmental technology transformation center, Anhui German training center, art design institute, real estate research institute and other teaching AIDS and scientific research institutions. The college is a bachelor's degree awarding unit.
