The full name of NGTC is National Jewelry and Jade Quality Inspection and Testing Center. In addition to strict testing standards and procedures, it is different from other appraisal certificates in that it is the only certificate in China that supports international mutual recognition and has legal effect, which can be said to be a real national name.

National Jewelry Inspection (NGTC) is a bureau-level institution directly under the Ministry of Natural Resources, a national quality inspection institution authorized by the State Administration of Market Supervision according to law, and an affiliated unit of the National Jewelry Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC 298), the Jewelry Inspection and Evaluation Technology Innovation Center of the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Asia-Pacific Jewelry Standardization Technical Alliance (AGA), the Jewelry Vocational Skills Appraisal Guidance Center and the Jewelry Art Appraisal Committee of China Assets Appraisal Association.
