More than 80 years ago, teachers and students of Wuhan University left their hometown, moved westward with books, took root in Leshan, and fought against Japan and saved the country. As the main campus of Wuhan University, Leshan Confucian Temple witnessed the suffering and glory of Wuhan University, bearing the emotional sustenance of thousands of students, and was endowed with new cultural life and value connotation.

I hope to deepen cooperation with Wuhan University and Leshan Teachers College, create an upgraded version of school-ground cooperation in the fields of cultural protection, scientific and technological innovation, park construction, education and training, and expand new cooperation space.

Later, the Leshan Historical and Cultural Protection Research Center of Wuhan University was established. Founded by Wuhan University, Leshan Municipal People's Government and Leshan Teachers College, it aims to fully explore, protect and inherit the historical, cultural and spiritual values of Wuhan University's westward move to Leshan.

It is also to permanently protect the former site of Wuhan University's westward migration, to inherit the "Leshan Spirit" of Wuhan University forever, and to write a new chapter in the new era.
