Wenbo University has two doctoral programs: archaeology, museology and cultural relics. At present, more than 30 undergraduates and 0 postgraduates are enrolled every year. Among them are students from Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Hongkong, Macau and Taiwan Province. Up to now, nearly 1,000 students have been trained, many of whom have become the business backbones of China's cultural and art circles, or taken up leading positions. They are active in various fields related to cultural relics and museums, showing the spirit of Fudan people.

The Department of Literature and Art has a strong faculty, which is composed of professionals in various disciplines such as literature, science, engineering and art. At present, there are 1 1 teachers with senior titles, 80% of whom have doctoral degrees. They have keen thinking, reasonable knowledge structure and pioneering spirit. They have rich teaching experience, worked in the front line of teaching for many years, and actively participated in scientific research to promote teaching. It is their unremitting pursuit and efforts to teach and educate people and enhance their competitiveness and reputation through academics. The department has hired a number of part-time professors who have great influence at home and abroad, such as Ma Chengyuan, Wang, Yang Hongxun, Xu, San Cai, Zhang Pusheng and Wang Wei. Every year, a group of energetic experts and scholars at home and abroad are invited to board the cultural forum of Fudan University to transfer new knowledge and cutting-edge trends and promote academic exchanges between schools, libraries and schools, and at home and abroad.

The subject connotation of the department includes: cultural relics, museology, archaeology, basic theory of cultural heritage, cultural heritage management, ancient gardens and architecture, art market, science and technology of cultural relics protection, anthropology, art history and so on. In recent years, the department has promoted the improvement of the overall level with scientific research and innovation, achieved leap-forward development with high-tech and information technology, and established a forward-looking and exemplary discipline brand. Strive to occupy the academic commanding heights in the research of basic theories of cultural heritage, policies and regulations, museology (including the theory and practice of digital museums), characteristic archaeology, characteristic cultural relics and other fields. Founded the Collection of Cultural Heritage Studies, which has published three series and has a wide influence at home and abroad. The cultural heritage research center has been established, which provides a platform for expanding exchanges and cooperation with academia and society.

Since the 1980s, teachers in this department have published a large number of monographs and papers, and also completed many important scientific research projects, such as bronze rust prevention, far infrared technology identification and identification of cultural relics, garden design of ancient buildings in Shanghai Yuyuan Garden, and development of museum collection management software. In recent years, teachers in this department have devoted themselves to scientific research with full enthusiasm, and made more contributions to China's cultural heritage and scientific research. The scientific research work of teachers in this department has been highly praised. For example, Fudan University Digital Museum of Cultural Anthropology (Phase I), one of the 20001Central Special Projects, passed the acceptance of the expert group of the Ministry of Education in July 2003 through the efforts of all teachers. According to the opinions of the acceptance expert committee, this project relies on the advantages of literature and art of Fudan University and combines multimedia and network technology to realize the sharing of cultural relics with society, form a scientific and artistic online communication system, and highlight the content characteristics of the "Digital Museum of Cultural Anthropology". Data acquisition standard, complete technical framework. A set of "Museum Collection Information Management System Software" is developed as a data acquisition tool and retrieval system, which meets the application requirements of teaching, scientific research and popular science. Another example is the "Three Gorges Archaeology" that I participated in for many years, which not only made up for the long-term blank of field archaeology in Fudan University and promoted the development of the discipline, but also attracted people's attention because I paid attention to giving full play to our comprehensive advantages, interdisciplinary and academic innovation, and introduced modern high-tech concepts and means, thus establishing our unique position in the Three Gorges Archaeology. The national social science fund project "Research on the relationship between cultural heritage protection and tourism development and utilization" pays attention to the healthy development of China's heritage. Relevant achievements were cited by Liberation Daily, and received the attention and instructions of many senior leaders, which brought positive social effects.

As a discipline with a strong industry background, the department pays attention to exchanges and cooperation with the cultural and archaeological circles. Many teachers in this department are experts in National Cultural Heritage Administration. They often participate in professional activities such as project evaluation of cultural relics management departments in National Cultural Heritage Administration and other places, receive academic consultation from relevant parties, and provide scientific argumentation and rational suggestions for government departments to make decisions. Cooperating with National Cultural Heritage Administration to recruit and train "Professional Class for Cultural and Cultural Cadres", covering more than 500 people in 18, covering all parts of the country and making special contributions to the cultivation of cultural and cultural talents in China. From June 5th to 10, 2003, our department hosted the "Cultural and Cultural Education Training Seminar" hosted by National Cultural Heritage Administration. From May to July, 2004, the Division also held a "National Professional Management Training Course for Directors of Provincial Cultural Relics Bureaus" in National Cultural Heritage Administration.

There is a cultural relics protection laboratory in the department, which has long served scientific research and teaching. In 2003, the laboratory received key support from the school and purchased a batch of instruments and equipment. The department reference room has subscribed to academic journals and various newspapers and magazines related to this major for many years, purchased professional books and opened them to all teachers and students. The department also manages the Fudan University Museum, which is open to schools and society free of charge. Built in the late 1980s, the museum has more than 2,000 collections, including China ancient ceramics, coins, bronzes, paintings and calligraphy. Among them, more than 400 pieces (sets) of Gaoshan folk cultural relics in Taiwan Province Province were collected and treasured by Professor Liu Xian, the former biology department of our school, and then donated to the school. Both in quality and quantity, these cultural relics are the best of their kind in Chinese mainland. Even in Taiwan Province Province, many of them have long been hard to find and are extremely precious. In recent years, the museum has not only adjusted and updated two permanent exhibition halls, but also launched a series of temporary exhibitions, such as a stamp exhibition celebrating the eightieth anniversary of the founding of the Party of China, a summer exhibition in 2003, an exhibition of ancient imperial examinations in China, a retrospective exhibition of the Three Gorges Archaeology of Fudan University, a design from the perspective of modern art, and an original exhibition. Among them, the "Retrospective Exhibition of Three Gorges Archaeology of Fudan University" was also invited to move to Zhu Qizhan Art Museum to spread Fudan's academic thoughts and campus civilization to the society.

The students trained in this department have a wide range of knowledge and a solid foundation. They can learn about the international practices and development trends of cultural heritage protection, and at the same time, they can analyze and solve problems in combination with the situation in China. Teaching emphasizes the combination of theory and practice, not only pays attention to academic theory, but also vigorously cultivates students' practical ability. In recent years, the students of this department have participated in archaeological excavations, museum display design, digital museum construction, cultural relics restoration, cultural relics photography, museum public surveys and other activities, which have stimulated their professional interest, creative enthusiasm and belief in participating in academics in the actual operation process. The liberal arts society established by the students of this department has a great influence. Four "Boya Festival (Wenbo Week)" activities have been held successively, which not only spread professional knowledge, but also promoted quality education and campus civilization construction with the concept of "Boya".

The goal of this department is to cultivate compound professionals who have basic knowledge and skills in cultural relics and archaeology and can engage in related professional work in government cultural relics management and research institutions, various museums and exhibition units, archaeological departments, cultural relics and art business units, tourism departments, press and publication and education units. Graduates of this department have a wide range of employment because of their strength and competitiveness. They are not only active in museums, cultural relics management committees, cultural relics and archaeology research institutes, and customs entry-exit management agencies, but also welcomed and praised by employers such as publishing houses, painting and calligraphy clubs, newspaper editorial departments, radio and television stations, and antique shops.
