Foreign trade training experience
I was very lucky to practice in the factory for two weeks. In just two weeks, I visited twelve factories. Through this internship, I have gained a lot of things that I can't get in the office, which are summarized as follows:

First of all, I have a more detailed understanding of power tool products and inspection process. For a person with a little knowledge of science and engineering, I don't know much about the structure, operation and manufacturing technology of electric tools. Although I had a week's simple training in Deshuo at the beginning of my work, I still can't fully understand the internal structure and working principle of electric tools, and I don't even know how to use some products. After this factory internship, I have a more intuitive and profound understanding of the mechanical words I typed on the documents. I intuitively understand a series of realistic power tools products, and through the process of helping two QE inspectors, I also understand their internal structure, working principle, manufacturing process, existing problems and possible solutions.

To be an excellent salesman, you must have a comprehensive and correct understanding of the products you sell. Through this internship, I really learned something that is hard to get in the office, but it is also very important. But I still have a series of difficulties in understanding a series of problems, such as the influence of a small defect in the motor on the whole product. But I will continue to make good use of all the opportunities I can learn to make up for my shortcomings and lay a good foundation for becoming an excellent salesperson.

Secondly, if you learn to put yourself in the other's shoes, you can see, consider and solve problems from a more systematic perspective. Foreign trade is a systematic work, from developing customers, receiving orders, arranging production in factories, quality control and quality inspection to final documents, shipping operations, settlement of foreign exchange and so on. They are closely linked and interlocking. In my work, I mainly involve shipping documents, application for inspection and so on, which are closely related to our QC inspection and factory production. But in my previous work, I couldn't understand some practical difficulties of QC and the factory. Therefore, there are many problems in the coordination of work. At the same time, there may be a series of unnecessary misunderstandings with QC and the factory. Through this internship, I realized the hard work of QC staff and some practical difficulties in factory production, which provided necessary preparations for my next better work and problem solving.

Third, have a general understanding of the factory's production capacity, manufacturing technology and production situation. The twelve factories I went to, each with its own characteristics. For example, Changzhou Da Yue, which provides small electric mills for Carrefour, is a small factory with limited production capacity, and its motor equipment cannot be produced by itself. The assembly line is also very messy. Because the core equipment such as motors are outsourced, the quality and cost of products are difficult to control. On the other hand, Changzhou Jinding is a large factory, producing a variety of products. Basically, a product has a workshop. It is precisely because of the scale effect of this production that they can reduce costs, improve product quality, form strong competitiveness, have greater autonomy in customer selection, and be able to export themselves. Wuyi Gong Li is the most cooperative factory with Carrefour. Their production capacity is huge, with five production lines. However, their motor production is relatively backward, the products are relatively single and the grade is not high enough. Most of their energy is focused on pursuing the quantity of products, ignoring the development of new products and high-end products. However, their employee turnover rate is very low, and most of the workers are local skilled workers. Therefore, the quality of their products is stable.

At the same time, each guest has his own characteristics. For example, Carrefour, which I am most familiar with, as a food supermarket, power tools are just an eye-catching commodity. There may not be too many requirements for grades, and they are basically "DIY" products with low professional requirements. But because it has branches in many countries in the world, the demand for products is very large. Therefore, the products needed by such guests are very suitable for production in a factory like Wuyi Gong Li.

There is an old saying in China, "Know yourself and know yourself, and you will win every battle". For a salesperson, it is very important to master the needs of buying and selling books. We must first analyze our guests, analyze their needs, and study their consumers, even potential consumers. Only in this way can we truly meet the needs of guests and seize them. Secondly, we should also study our suppliers, study their capabilities, understand their various situations, and find the factory that can best meet the needs of customers in all aspects as our suppliers. Only by doing these two things well at the same time can I really play the role of a salesperson and make the sales career last forever. I think the above is the biggest gain of my factory internship.

At the same time, a series of phenomena and problems in the factory also aroused my great interest, which are listed as follows:

1 enterprise scale and enterprise cost control. Jinding, for example, has a big factory. However, from this, I have another question. A factory like Jinding certainly has its cost advantage and scale advantage. However, whether their pursuit of scale will hinder the overall improvement of product quality, whether it will lead them to lose their comparative advantage because they are not exquisite in various categories of electric tools, and whether the management cost in production coordination is too high, and what will be the development direction of such enterprises?

2. Enterprise survival and enterprise innovation and expansion. Many factories are in a period of rapid development. Jinhua Tongda, Zhejiang Huafeng and Wuyi Yonghui are all relocating or have completed the relocation from the old factory to the new factory. It all started with a product or a foreign trade company. With the primitive accumulation of capital and the pursuit of profit maximization, they have launched new products. Most of these products have advanced technology and high profit rate, but they are also producing old products to maintain profits. However, for a factory like Wuyi Gong Li, they don't have time to draw energy from the mass production of basic products to innovate. This completely different development trend may have different effects on the development of enterprises.

3. Enterprise management, investment and product quality. Among the twelve factories, Suzhou Taihu Lake, Yongkang Crown, Wuyi Yida, Zhejiang Huafeng and Yongkang Zheng Da are all implementing "5S" and "6S" management. In these factories, people feel that the production is orderly, clean and refreshing, and people have reason to believe in the quality of products under such production conditions. At the same time, most of the above factories have advanced production and testing equipment. Yongkang Zheng Da also has a laboratory with complete hardware facilities, which will directly lead to easier product quality control.

Enterprise orientation and its cooperation with foreign trade companies. Every factory operator will have his own position. For example, Crown will position its products as "middle and high grade", so they are unwilling to produce low-grade products with low profit margins. They even want to develop their own customers, bypass foreign trade companies and maximize profits. However, factories like Gong Li, Da Yue and Liang Ming are too dependent on one product or one foreign trade company, which will hinder their development and growth.

5. The quality of business operators and the concept of enterprises. Some of these factories are family-owned, and the business philosophy of business owners plays a vital role in the development of factories. An enterprise operator with high quality and advanced concept will put more energy into the investment of equipment, the development of new products and the quality of employees. Cooperation with such a factory will enable the two sides to establish more honest cooperation.

The above ideas may not be particularly mature, and some may have little to do with my actual work. However, I will accumulate my income bit by bit and apply it to my future work.

A slogan I saw in the crown deeply touched me to "dare to regard today as a laggard". I think if the factory really has such courage and grace, it will certainly make a difference. In the factory, details like this have inspired me a lot, and I will digest these gains and really make them work for me.
