Brief Introduction of China Institute of Environmental Management
China Institute of Environmental Management (EMCC) is the top full-time environment-related institution of higher learning in China, under the guidance of the State Environmental Protection Administration. Known as "the highest institution of learning" in China's environmental protection system and "Whampoa Military Academy" in China, it is one of the earliest institutions of higher learning in China to carry out environmental education. The College was established in 198 1 with the approval of the State Environmental Protection Administration and filed by the Ministry of Education. The new campus is located in Beidaihe District, Qinhuangdao City. At the beginning of its establishment, the College was a school directly under the State Environmental Protection Administration, which trained senior and middle-level cadres in environmental management for the country and undertook the job training task of environmental protection directors at all levels. College * * * has 43 majors, among which environment-related majors cover almost all fields and the whole process of environmental protection work. Since the establishment of the institute, nearly 5,000 prefectural (city) and county-level environmental protection directors have received on-the-job training in the institute, and more than 20,000 on-the-job environmental protection cadres have received continuing education in the institute. At the same time, the college has trained tens of thousands of graduates from various environmental-related universities for the society.
