Educational requirements
Have a bachelor's degree or above in medical major in colleges and universities, and have completed at least one year's internship in medical, preventive and health care institutions under the guidance of practicing doctors.
Work experience requirements
Those who already hold the practicing certificate of practicing assistant doctors, have obtained the medical college degree in colleges and universities and have worked in medical, preventive and health care institutions for two years, or have obtained the medical professional degree in secondary specialized schools and worked for five years, can also take the examination.

Residents of Taiwan Province Province, Hong Kong and Macao who want to apply for the doctor qualification examination can refer to the Notice on Relevant Issues Concerning the Residents of Taiwan Province Province, Hong Kong and Macao who have medical professional qualifications in mainland China to apply for the national doctor qualification examination.
Education requirements
14, which came into effect in March, clearly points out that the valid proof of academic qualifications is limited to diplomas recognized by the state. Basic medicine, forensic medicine, nursing (science), medical technology, pharmacy, traditional Chinese medicine and other medical related professional qualifications can not be used as the basis for applying for doctor qualification.
