Significance of first aid training
The significance of the pilot construction of national school first aid education by the Ministry of Education includes: improving students' safety awareness and self-help and mutual rescue ability, promoting schools at all levels to strengthen first aid education, and forming multi-level and multi-form campus first aid plans.

1. Improve students' safety awareness and self-help and mutual rescue ability: equip the school with relevant first-aid facilities, equipment and articles, and provide first-aid knowledge education and skills training for teachers and students in the school, which is conducive to improving students' safety awareness and self-help and mutual rescue ability, reducing the injury rate of safety accidents in the school and alleviating the consequences caused by safety accidents outside the school.

2. Promote schools at all levels to strengthen first-aid education: formulate first-aid facilities and equipment specifications (for trial implementation) and first-aid skills training programs (for trial implementation), explore the pilot construction of campus first-aid skills certificate development, and form replicable and popularized first-aid education experiences and practices, which is conducive to promoting schools at all levels to strengthen first-aid education.

3. Form a multi-level and multi-type campus emergency plan: The first batch of selected schools are rich in types and wide in coverage, including universities from eastern provinces and higher vocational colleges from central and western provinces, which is conducive to the formation of multi-level and multi-type campus emergency plans.
