Xi Jiaotong University, referred to as "xipu", is located in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. It is a full-time Chinese-foreign cooperative undergraduate college founded by Xi Jiaotong University and the University of Liverpool in the UK and approved by the Ministry of Education. He is a member of the Chinese-foreign cooperative university alliance and a provincial master's degree project construction unit in Jiangsu Province.

In September 2004, Xi Jiaotong University signed an agreement with the University of Liverpool in the UK to establish Xi Jiaotong-Liverpool (International) University.
