At present, there are two private autism rehabilitation institutions registered in Foshan: Qifen in Chancheng and Xinger in Nanhai (formerly Aihui in Chancheng). Public rehabilitation institutions include Sichuang (namely Chancheng District Rehabilitation Center for the Disabled) under Foshan Disabled Persons' Federation. They are specialized institutions for the rehabilitation of autistic children. In recent years, the Qizhi Department of Foshan Qicong School (specially for mentally retarded children) has also tried to accept some autistic children of compulsory school age.
