EMU mechanic refers to the personnel engaged in the operation, maintenance, crew and fault handling of EMU. Main work contents:
(1) Inspect and troubleshoot the roof equipment of EMU, such as pantograph;
(2) Inspection and troubleshooting of equipment in the cab of EMU, such as cab, communication equipment and train information control system;
(3) Inspection and fault handling of the equipment under the EMU, such as wrecker, coupler, braking device, traction device, etc.
(4) Inspection and troubleshooting of equipment on both sides of the car body, such as bogie frame, wheels, air springs, shock absorbers, etc.
(5) Carry out pantograph maintenance, hollow shaft flaw detection and side door switch test;
(6) Be responsible for the crew work, monitor the technical status of operation, manage the equipment in the passenger car of the EMU, handle sudden failures on the way, and undertake some traffic organization functions.
