Tasks and requirements of new civil servant training
A: Chapter 10 of the Civil Service Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) stipulates: "The organs shall conduct initial training for newly hired personnel during the probation period; ..... The training and academic performance of civil servants are taken as the content of civil servant assessment and as one of the basis for appointment and promotion. " Article 12 of Chapter III of the Regulations on Civil Servant Training (Trial) promulgated and implemented on June 27th, 2008 stipulates: "Initial training is the training of newly recruited civil servants, which mainly includes basic knowledge and skills such as political theory, administration according to law, civil servant law and civil servant's code of conduct, and working methods of organs, and focuses on improving the ability of newly recruited civil servants to adapt to the work of organs. The initial training is organized by the organization and personnel department. Professional institutions can organize their own initial training according to the unified requirements of the organization and personnel department. The initial training should be completed during the probation period, and the time should be no less than 12 days. " Article 17 stipulates: "Newly recruited civil servants who have not participated in the initial training or training examination and failed the examination cannot be graded."
