Employment direction

First, colleges and universities, which is the main destination of psychology graduate students after graduation. In recent years, colleges and universities have paid more and more attention to students' mental health, and have set up public courses in psychology, with master of psychology as the teacher of public courses in psychology. This undoubtedly expanded the employment of psychology graduate students. One of the best employment directions for Master of Psychology is to enter the Department of Psychology and the Department of Education and become a psychology teacher.

Second, civil servants. Generally, the public security system and education administrative departments recruit psychology graduate students as civil servants: public security bureau, reeducation-through-labor center, prison, border inspection station, etc. Are all possible places.

Third, enterprises. The enterprises that psychology graduate students go to are mainly headhunting (talent agency) talent evaluation institutions, enterprise consulting and human resource management, and planning and design companies. Postgraduates in psychology are different from students majoring in human resource management. Students majoring in psychology advocate humanized management, which is complementary to students majoring in human resource management.

Fourth, primary and secondary schools. Originally, undergraduate students were generally recruited, and psychological counselors in colleges and universities were saturated. Some graduate students began to consider entering primary and secondary schools to engage in psychological education.

Fifth, psychological counseling workers. Judging from the current situation in China, the domestic industry is not a very profitable profession. If you want to get the salary of foreign counterparts, you need to make further efforts to open up the market and improve your consulting level. But looking ahead, it's still good.

Sixth, hospitals and clinics. Students who study clinical psychology and medical psychology can go to hospitals or psychological clinics to engage in psychological counseling and treatment. However, in view of the current demand for psychologists in China and the need for a medical license to go to a hospital, it is more difficult.

Current situation of domestic psychology

Domestic development

Psychology, these three words are still mysterious to most people in China. People often associate the words "mind reading", "mind control" and "hypnosis" with the feelings derived from them. In fact, these understandings only reflect one aspect of psychology.

In China, since Professor 19 17 established the first psychology laboratory in Peking University, it has experienced ups and downs, but it has also entered an unprecedented period of prosperity since the late 1970s. It has formed a network of psychological science research institutes and societies at all levels from the state to the local level. Every year, nearly ten psychological professional journals, hundreds of educational journals and university journals publish thousands of psychological documents. Various psychological books have sprung up like mushrooms after rain. Not only all normal universities and some comprehensive universities have set up various psychology courses, but also some key normal universities and some key comprehensive universities have set up psychology departments to train undergraduates, master students and doctoral students. Various psychology training courses have spread from schools to society, from classroom teaching to TV teaching.

1995 the Ministry of education first established the psychology teaching steering Committee (science) in China universities, and also established the psychology China science base in Beijing Normal University, Hangzhou University and East China Normal University, and decided to offer public psychology courses for all college students in all universities of science and engineering. 1999, the Ministry of Science and Technology identified psychology as one of the priority basic disciplines of 18. In 2000, psychology was identified as a national first-class discipline by the State Council Academic Degrees Committee. This shows that psychology has been formally incorporated into the construction system of key disciplines in China. Thus, the education and research level of psychological science in China has been effectively improved, and psychology has spread rapidly in all walks of life.

Psychology originated in western China and started late.

As a science and technology, psychology was born in the western world 100 years ago. After the development and perfection of 100 years, the theory and technology of psychology have been very developed, and have influenced politics, economy, culture, art, religion, enterprise management, marketing and so on.

However, the development history of psychology in China is very short. In 1970s and 1980s, although some scholars were studying psychology, it was still far from the life of ordinary people.

Sino-German training started the development of psychology in China.

During the period from 1997 to 1999, something happened, which was a milestone for China psychology. That is to say, a Sino-German cooperative psychotherapy class was opened in China. Because Durban is very professional and systematic, it has greatly improved the vision and technical level of local therapists in China. Since then, a number of excellent psychological counselors and therapists have emerged, such as Li Zixun, Yang Fengchi, Zhu Jianjun and Zeng Qifeng.

After that, China's applied psychology began gradually. Some universities began to introduce western psychotherapy technology, the government issued the qualification certification of psychological counselors, and many private psychological training institutions also began to introduce psychology and technology schools from the west. Through these efforts and actions, psychology has made great progress in China.

The Influence of China Culture on Psychology

China culture has an important influence on the development of western psychology, mainly in the following two aspects:

First, provide wisdom for the West. "East-West Psychology", also known as "wisdom psychology", is a pursuit of eastern culture and psychological thought by western psychologists. It can be said that "East-West Psychology" is a new development of contemporary psychology and is gradually forming an independent research field or branch.

Second, provide inspiration for the wise. Jung, Maslow and other psychologists are closely related to China culture, and they are outspoken about their own inspiration.

Universities and scientific research institutions with strong psychology majors.

Beijing Normal University has two independent units: School of Psychology and Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience and Learning.

The School of Psychology is the first national first-class key discipline unit of psychology in China, with three national second-class key disciplines, namely, basic psychology, developmental and educational psychology and applied psychology, which can be awarded three doctoral and master's degrees in two disciplines. The basic psychology, developmental psychology and educational psychology of the School of Psychology of Beijing Normal University have always been the traditional dominant disciplines, which are the "national base for training basic scientific research and teaching talents" and the "national key research base for humanities and social sciences". Especially with the establishment of the State Key Laboratory of Cognitive Neuroscience and Learning, the traditional dominant disciplines have been further consolidated and strengthened.

The Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience and Learning of Beijing Normal University was established in July 2004. It is the key construction base of Beijing Normal University's 2 1 1 Project and 985 Project, and the supporting unit of "State Key Laboratory of Cognitive Neuroscience and Learning". It provides scientific basis for the establishment of brain-based education and learning, brain-based cognitive impairment correction methods and brain-based human resources industry development in China, promotes the intellectual and psychological health development of hundreds of millions of children and adolescents in China, and meets the strategic needs of the country to continuously improve its comprehensive national strength.
