Linfen College of Shanxi Normal University is a college approved by the provincial government. On the basis of the established Linfen Normal School, the former Linfen Education College, Linfen Normal School, Xixian Normal School, Linfen Sports School and Houma Education College are normal colleges with independent campuses, independent funds and independent legal persons. In recent years, we have reached an understanding with Shanxi Normal University on some major teaching business issues such as resource sharing, teaching evaluation and guidance, academic exchange and communication.

In terms of specialty setting, Linfen College is divided into two levels: training and training. Training majors are divided into three categories:

1. Five-year higher vocational education has seven normal majors: Chinese and social orientation, mathematics and science orientation, modern information technology orientation, English orientation, music orientation, art orientation and sports orientation.

The second is the "three-year higher vocational college", which has three normal majors such as Chinese education, mathematics education, modern educational technology, English education, music education, art education, physical education, competitive sports training education, physics education and chemistry education, and three non-normal majors such as applied English, computer network technology and psychological consultation.

The third is the "three-year non-normal college", which has seven majors: computer network technology, tourism service and management, preschool education, music, art design, sports training and secretarial work.

There are two kinds of majors in university training:

First, on-the-job training for primary and secondary school teachers.

The second is the training of education cadres in the city.

The party and government functional institutions of Linfen University are: four departments of the Party Committee, namely, the Party Committee Office, the Organization Department, the Propaganda Department and the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Office. The college has five administrative departments: Academic Affairs Office, Academic Affairs Office, Student Affairs Office, Logistics Office and Personnel Office. Eleven teaching institutions, including Chinese Department, Mathematics and Computer Department, Foreign Languages Department, Natural Science Department, Social Science Department, Art Department, Physical Education Department, Competitive Sports Department, Basic Education Department, Adult Education Department and Scientific Research Department; In order to meet the needs of society, three non-normal majors were declared in time in 2005, namely, applied English, computer network and psychological counseling; Teaching auxiliary institutions include information center and audio-visual experimental center. The college has two directly affiliated institutions, namely, the first affiliated primary school of Linfen College of Shanxi Normal University (formerly affiliated primary school) and the second affiliated primary school of Linfen College of Shanxi Normal University (formerly affiliated primary school). According to the needs of practical training, in March this year, our college established 75 educational practice bases in various counties and cities of Linfen City.
