Hulutou paomo

At the end of the Northern Song Dynasty, Jing Zhaofu (Jin 'an) fell into the hands of the Jin people and brutally oppressed the Guanzhong people, and the poor people were miserable.

Jurchen nobles are greedy and unrestrained, eating luxuriously, and throwing away viscera such as pig intestines that they don't eat at will. At that time, the poor people of Han nationality were short of materials, so it was difficult to see this kind of meat in their daily diet. So they picked up the pig's large intestine and cooked it into soup to make steamed buns.

This way of eating quickly spread among the people. Because the ingredients of this food come from the nobles of the Jin Dynasty, the people hate the Nuzhen invaders very much, so they call it "Hulutou" in private, but they dare not call it in the open, so they use the homophonic "Hulutou" instead.

Under the cruel rule of Jin people, the bottom people who are unable to resist can only express their silent resistance in this way.
