The following is the policy statement of Guangdong's off-site college entrance examination:
The Guangdong Provincial Department of Education, the Provincial Development and Reform Commission, the Provincial Public Security Department, the Provincial People's and Social Welfare Department, the Provincial Housing and Construction Department and other departments, after several months of investigation, have solicited opinions from all walks of life for many times and issued a plan for the college entrance examination in different places in Guangdong. The plan is implemented in three steps: from 20 13, migrant workers and children of high-skilled talents in Guangdong have "zero threshold" to take the college entrance examination;
From 20 14, migrant workers who have a legal and stable occupation and residence and have a residence permit in Guangdong Province for more than three consecutive years, whose accompanying children have a three-year complete student status in a secondary vocational school in Guangdong Province, can take the higher vocational education examination in secondary vocational schools and be equally admitted as Guangdong candidates;
From 20 16, migrant workers who have a legal and stable occupation and residence and have a residence permit in Guangdong Province for more than three consecutive years, whose accompanying children have participated in the senior high school entrance examination in Guangdong for three years, can sign up for the college entrance examination, which is the same as that of Guangdong candidates.
With the consent of the provincial admissions office where the household registration is located, the children of migrant workers who do not meet the conditions for applying in Guangdong can borrow the examination in Guangdong from 20 14, but they must return to the province (city) where the household registration is located to participate in the admission.
