The People's Navy was born in war.

Zhang aiping

1949 On April 23rd, the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy was established in Baima Temple, Taizhou, Jiangsu Province, ending the history of imperialist powers invading the Chinese nation from the sea 100 years.

Form a navy from scattered leaves

At the beginning of 1949, the people's liberation war has entered a decisive stage, and the Political Bureau of the Central Committee made a timely decision to "strive to form a navy capable of defending the areas along the Yangtze River within one or two years". In late March, I attended the meeting of the General Front Committee held in Sun Jiawei Town, Bengbu City. After the meeting, I had a long talk with Comrade Chen Yi and conveyed to me the decision of the CPC Central Committee and the Central Military Commission. In order to liberate all China, prevent imperialist aggression and prepare for the task of liberating Taiwan Province Province, I decided to organize the navy by Sanye and appointed me as the commander and political commissar. After listening to Comrade Chen Yi's message, I felt very excited and stressed. I'm not going to form a navy. The navy is a modern service with high technology and all the characteristics of the armed forces. It will be very difficult to start from scratch. At that time, I said to teacher Chen, "I am not qualified to swim in the navy." Comrade Chen Yi emphasized that history forces us to do this, and we must do it well. You are the right person to do this, which is the trust of the CPC Central Committee.

On the eve of the Battle of Crossing the River, I came to Baima Temple in Taizhou, Jiangsu Province, where the Third Field Army was stationed, to meet with Comrade Su Yu and study the preparations for the formation of the navy. On April 23, the battle of crossing the river won a great victory, and Nanjing, the stronghold of the Kuomintang, was liberated. Urgent telegram from CMC: Sanye immediately formed a navy, which was named the Navy of East China Military Region of China People's Liberation Army. The front Committee of Sanye immediately decided to first incorporate a regiment led by the training instructor, the reconnaissance battalion of the First Field Division and the coastal defense column in northern Jiangsu into the navy. I led Li Jin, Chief of Staff of the 84th Division of the 28th Army, Zhang Weiqing, Chief of Procurement Section of the Ministry of Military Industry, Huang Shengtian, Chief of Staff of the 1st Field Division, Wen Lizhi, an administrator, and other comrades 13 to start the compilation. At this point, the People's Navy, the first new service in the history of the China People's Liberation Army, was born in the war.

Take over the Kuomintang naval organization

At the same time that our army liberated Nanjing, General Lin Zun led nine warships and 17 boats of the Second Fleet of the Kuomintang Navy to revolt on the Badou Mountain in Nanjing. Two days before the uprising of the Second Fleet, on April 2 1 day, the uprising of Jiangyin fortress of Kuomintang army was successful. Under such circumstances, I led dozens of comrades to cross the river from Jingjiang Bawei Port to Jiangyin on the night of April 23rd. I was greeted in Jiangyin by Feng Wenhua, a sent tutor, Wang Damo, political commissar, and Sun, chief of staff. Zhang Yuanpei, head of China National Defense Corps, and Fan Yukang, deputy instructor of Ye Si Reconnaissance Brigade, arrived one after another. They introduced me to the strength and cadres of their respective troops. A working meeting was held on April 26th, and it was decided to set up three offices, namely, the division, the department and the rear office. Comrade Feng Wenhua served as the director of the general office of the headquarters, Sun Keji and Wang Damo served as the deputy directors of the general office of the Political Department, and Comrade Zhang Yuanpei served as the director of the general office of the Logistics Department, forming the preparatory leading body. At the same time, the East China Navy Temporary Committee was established, and I was appointed as the party secretary.

On April 28th, more than 800 new officers and men of the People's Navy gathered in the auditorium of Jiangyin Fortress Command to announce the establishment and appointment list of the leading organs of the East China Navy, and to announce the establishment 1 1 working steps of the People's Navy. The meeting was full of passion. Then, the navy stationed in Suzhou, organized a receiving team to receive the Second Fleet of the Kuomintang, the gunboat brigade of Zhenjiang Uprising and the Kuomintang naval institutions in Zhenjiang and Nanjing.

After the liberation of Shanghai, comrades from the naval organs and I stationed in Shanghai. I served as the director of the naval takeover department of the Shanghai Military Management Committee and started the overall takeover work. By mid-June, we had received more than 30 land-based institutions and facilities of the Kuomintang navy, including Jiangnan Shipyard and Qingdao Shipyard, 25 large ships and 45 small boats, from Shanghai to Jiangyin, Zhenjiang, Nanjing, Wuhu, Hukou and Jiujiang in the west, Lianyungang and Qingdao in the north and Fuzhou and Guangzhou in the south.

After I take over in Nanking, I will take over the situation of the Kuomintang navy, report to Comrade Liu Bocheng, and invite Liu Shuai to meet Lin Zun, director of the General Office of the Kuomintang Navy, and Major General Jin Sheng. During the interview, Liu Shuai asked Lin Zun and others to join us in organizing the People's Navy, and then appointed Lin Zun as the first deputy commander of the Navy of the East China Military Region.

Soon after we returned to Shanghai, Yuan Yelie, deputy commander of Shandong Military Region, Zhao, political commissar of the 34th Army, and Kang Zhiqiang, political commissar of the 21st Army, were also transferred to the navy. Facing the task of liberating Zhoushan Islands at that time, the Front Committee of East China Military Region decided to transfer the 30 th Army, 35 th Army and their directly affiliated units to the Navy. More than 600 cadres and soldiers led by Rao Zijian, commander of the 30th Army, Xie Liquan, political commissar, Rao Shoukun, deputy commander, Liu Zhonghua, director of the Political Department, Hu, commander of the 30th Army, Zhang Xiong, political commissar, and Kong, director of the Political Department, arrived in February. At this point, we formally established the headquarters, political department, logistics department and other leading organs. In addition, he was appointed as deputy commander, Yuan Yelie as deputy commander and chief of staff, Zhao as deputy political commissar, Kang Zhiqiang as director of political department and commander of logistics department. So far, the navy of the East China Military Region has nearly 20,000 people, with complete leading organs, forming a regular combat force. The naval administrative organ is located in the armored barracks of the former Japanese invaders at No.522 Shuidian, Shanghai.

When the navy was first built, the personnel were mainly divided into two parts. Most of them are officers and men selected from the PLA Army. These officers and men tempered by the revolutionary war are infinitely loyal to the cause of the party, have a fine tradition of hard work and bravery, and are the political backbone and organizational foundation for the construction of the people's navy. However, their education level is generally low and they don't understand the knowledge and technology of the navy. When they come to the new post of building the People's Navy, they are all faced with the severe test of studying hard and mastering naval knowledge and technology quickly, otherwise they will be a cripple who can't walk. The other part is the navy personnel of the former Kuomintang. Among the more than 2,000 officers and men of the Second Fleet uprising, except for the staff officers Ouyang Jin and Dai Xiyu, the chief engineer Kan and the ships Chang 'an, Shao Lun, Zhang Jiabao, Yi, Guo Bingheng, Chen Wudu, Han, etc., made important contributions to the uprising. However, it is far from enough to build a navy, and it is necessary to recruit technicians. With the consent of the Party Committee of East China Bureau and Mr. Chen,1June, 949, a notice was published in Ta Kung Pao in my name: "In order to establish the People's Navy, the Kuomintang Navy Personnel Registration Office was specially established. Anyone who has worked in the Kuomintang navy and is determined to devote himself to the cause of the new-democratic revolution in the future and volunteer to serve the people's navy can report to the office for registration in order to be hired in time. " The Shanghai office was located at Chongqing South Road 182, and then sent people to Qingdao, Fuzhou, Guangzhou, Xiamen and other places to set up registration offices, and announced the registration procedures and methods in newspapers and periodicals, and stressed: "Anyone who has served in the Kuomintang navy will leave sooner or later, regardless of officers and men, or class level, regardless of navigation, marine engineering, manufacturing, guns, communications, surveying, munitions, etc. This is very effective. In just a few months, more than 65,438+065,438+000 people have registered, including former Kuomintang navy veterans such as Zeng, Zhou Yingcong, Zeng, Luo Liuxi, Ma, Lv Meihua, Yang Canghuo, Jiang and Jin Sheng. We held many welcome meetings for the arrival of former naval personnel. I said at the reception: "We will continue to hold such reception in the future until we go to Taiwan Province Province! "More than 4,000 people joined the People's Navy from the Second Fleet and other Kuomintang naval personnel who successively revolted, forming a considerable technical team. However, this unit still lacks an understanding of the China Production Party and the China People's Liberation Army, and there is a big gap in its understanding and position on the objectives, principles and work style of our army. If these people don't seriously educate and reform, they are also useless.

How to turn the two cripples into healthy people's navy soldiers who unite and fight together is a major issue before us. First of all, we encounter the problem of how to deal with these defected, defected and registered comrades. If these comrades still use Kuomintang or old navy personnel to express themselves, it will easily lead to ideological distance and emotional estrangement. From my contacts and conversations with these comrades, we can see that most of them have the enthusiasm of patriotism and love for the people. They have devoted themselves to the construction of the people's navy, which has enabled them to embark on a broad stage to repay their ambitions and display their skills. Therefore, we decided to call them former navy comrades. This will help to mobilize the enthusiasm of these comrades and help all comrades to unite, learn from each other's strengths and work together. In this way, we have established a basic principle of army building, that is, under the leadership of the * * * production party and on the basis of the PLA Army, we will unite the former naval personnel and build the People's Navy. This policy has been approved by the East China Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and endorsed and affirmed by President Mao Zedong.

The people's navy has continued to grow and develop.

The navy has no ships and weapons, which means that the army has no legs and weapons and ammunition. Grasping the construction of ships and weapons and equipment has become a crucial event. However, the difficulties before us are enormous. The first is the destruction of the Kuomintang troops when they fled. Gui Yongqing, commander-in-chief of the Kuomintang navy, threatened to leave only "a pile of scrap iron" for the * * * army. After the Battle of Crossing the River, although we received 25 large ships and 45 small boats from rebels and defectors such as the Kuomintang Second Fleet, we also received 10 ships from Shanghai and other places. However, the Kuomintang used its air superiority to wreak havoc on the warships and shipyards that surrendered in the uprising.

At that time, although the bombing of the Kuomintang air force was a great threat to us, we could still swim around the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River and maneuver around. Coupled with the cover of ground artillery, most of the uprising and receiving warships were preserved. On this basis, we have recruited a batch of ships and dozens of tugboats from Shanghai Merchants Bureau, Public Bureau, Maritime Bureau and other units, and also purchased a batch of ships from Hong Kong and Guangzhou.

However, it is impossible to form combat effectiveness at sea by these alone. The ships of the Kuomintang navy are old, and some have been abandoned and worn out; The recruited and purchased ships have neither weapons nor other equipment, and the hull itself cannot meet the requirements of naval warfare. At that time, in order to win the national war of liberation, cooperate with the army in the task of liberating the coastal islands of Zhejiang and Fujian, and prepare to undertake the task of transporting and covering the army's landing across the sea and liberating Taiwan Province Province, it was necessary to race against time to repair and refit the ship, organize a ship investigation and repair Committee, and appoint the former navy comrade Zeng as the director to be responsible for the repair and refit work.

Zeng, former director of machinery of Kuomintang, studied in Japan in his early years and studied shipbuilding. Later, he went to the Royal Navy to study shipbuilding. He is an expert in shipbuilding and came to the People's Navy through the introduction of former naval comrade Jin Sheng. As soon as he arrived in Shanghai, I called on him and told him about the damage to the ship. He said that he was serious and sincere and took office the next day.

In the conversation with Zeng, I asked him about the similarities and differences between warships and merchant ships, and learned a lot of basic knowledge about the structure and performance of warships and merchant ships, which was quite enlightening. I immediately called him my shipbuilding teacher, so I decided to appoint him as the main assembly Committee. At that time, we had two major tasks, one was maintenance and the other was modification. According to the proposed scheme, the cabin of the merchant ship was reduced, which was convenient for blocking the wounded in the battle and then installing artillery. We didn't have naval guns at that time, so we transferred 799 howitzers, anti-aircraft guns and anti-aircraft machine guns from the army to modify 55 merchant ships. But whether it is repair or modification, there must be a shipyard first. There are eight shipyards and spots on the Huangpu River, such as Jiangnan Shipyard and Pudong Shipyard, which were seriously damaged when the Kuomintang troops fled. After the liberation of Shanghai, they were bombed by enemy planes many times.

The first time I came to Jiangnan Shipyard, I was with Chen Yusheng, commander of the Logistics Department, and Comrade Zeng. Starting with investigation and study, the masses were widely mobilized, and the repair policy of "repairing the old and making use of the waste, simplifying the poor and accumulating the small for the big" was put forward. After in-depth mobilization, this old factory with a history of more than 80 years has magically exerted great creativity and overcome many unimaginable difficulties. In particular, the insights of former naval experts such as Zeng solved many technical problems such as the loading of land guns and ships in time, ensuring the progress of transformation. By the end of 1949, after three and a half months of fighting, 16 gunboats and frigates were refitted and repaired as scheduled, and the second batch of ships were immediately put into salvage, refitting and repairing work, creating miracles in the history of ship repair again and again.

On July 23rd, we held an awarding ceremony at Jiangnan Shipyard, and all shipyards sent representatives to attend. Chen Yi, jing wong, leaders of East China Bureau and Shanghai Municipality attended the meeting and commended a number of advanced workers such as Shen, Wang Rongsang and Hao. Comrade Chen Yi made a bold and powerful speech, which greatly inspired the spirit of all the staff.

1949165438+18 October, the first crew training of the Chinese people's navy ended, and more than 2,000 students were equipped with 7 frigates and 9 gunboats to form the first and second brigades. The first combat vessels unit of the People's Navy was successfully born.

At the conference to commemorate the first anniversary of the birth of the People's Navy, we put these repaired and rebuilt ships into the battle sequence, divided them into three fleets, and held a naming ceremony. The Sixth Fleet consists of seven frigates, named after big cities such as Nanchang and Guangzhou, with Rao Zijian as commander and political commissar and Liu Zhonghua as deputy political commissar. The Seventh Fleet consists of seven gunboats, named after old base cities such as Yan 'an and Ruijin, with Rao Shoukun as commander and Zhang Xiong as political commissar. The fifth fleet includes 16 landing ship, defensive warships, tank landing craft and defensive gunboats, which are named after Jinggangshan, Yellow River, Gutian, Jeffery Ji and other famous mountains and rivers and base towns. In addition, the minesweeper is named "Autumn Wind", with Xie Liquan as the political commissar of the fleet and Zhang Yuanpei as the deputy commander and chief of staff. Since then, the construction of the People's Navy has embarked on the road of continuous development and growth.

"Without a strong army, there will be no strong motherland."

"Vast sea and sky, flowing water in the east, spray and snow. Point the battlefield, surf ashore, and the warships line up. The cannon points to the sky, and the arrow aims at the blue sea and bright moon. Look, Bai Ge frolic in the waves, what a hero ... "

While watching the military parade on TV, Major General Luo Yuan, a researcher at the Academy of Military Sciences, started to remember "Man Jiang Hong".

"History has proved countless times that the strength of the army is closely related to the rise and fall of the country." Luo Yuan said, "China's strategic opportunity period is not only an opportunity period for economic construction, but also an opportunity period for national defense construction. A strong country must strengthen the army, only emphasizing that rich countries will never be strong countries. "

When warships from all over the world gathered in Qingdao to celebrate the birthday of the China Navy, and when warships and planes left the heroic spirit of the People's Navy between the sea and the sky, the truth from the long history of "Without a strong army, there would be no strong motherland" once again aroused the strong * * * in the hearts of all China people.

A history of China's coastal defense is a history of the rise and fall of the Chinese nation for a hundred years. In the vicissitudes of a hundred years, we once had an unguarded country and a boundless sea.

From the mid-Kloc-0/9th century to the founding of New China, China was invaded by imperialist powers more than 80 times at sea. Almost all the islands have been trampled by the great powers, and almost all the harbors are hung with the robber flags of the invaders. In the Yellow Sea, not far from the parade, China's first modern naval fleet, Beiyang Navy, was completely annihilated, which accelerated the process of China becoming a semi-feudal and semi-colonial society. From the beginning of last century to War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, Qingdao was occupied by Germans and Japanese successively. In the face of the invaders' gunfire, the China navy, which had no resistance, had to sink its warships into the strait. ...

Wang Wenhua, deputy secretary of Qingdao Municipal Committee, said: "In a city that was invaded by foreign powers at sea that year, we can deeply understand the importance of building a strong navy and building a strong coastal defense."

A netizen with the signature "126303 1" commented on xinhuanet: "This large-scale military parade declared to the world that China's navy has become strong and China's territorial waters are inviolable!"

Proud of China Navy and proud of China. On the flag waved by Qingdao citizens, in the tears of the people watching the ship, and in the overwhelming messages on the Internet, such pride is like the spring breeze blowing all over China in April.

"Open China is more confident."

High-level seminars, professional exchanges, ship opening, and various multinational naval activities have built a platform for the navies of all countries in the world to meet and exchange, and also provided a window for foreign soldiers to learn about the navies of China and China.

"The transparency of the China Navy is as amazing as the degree of modernization!" After visiting the China, Admiral Mullah Neto, commander of the Brazilian navy, said, "I saw a real China, a real China navy."

The modernization achievements of the people's navy and the tolerance of opening the door to welcome guests have also infected the general public.

"Openness can make progress, and backwardness is bound to be beaten. The achievements and international status of the China Navy today are the result of the navy's going abroad and going to the world with the country's reform and opening up. " A netizen's message spoke out people's voices.

China is a land power and a coastal power. From the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period to the early Ming Dynasty, China's marine civilization has been in the leading position in the world, with great development in fishery, edible salt industry, navigation industry and shipbuilding industry, and gradually opened up ocean-going routes.

During the Three Kingdoms period, Wei Wen led a fleet to the Philippines, Jian Zhen sailed eastward to Japan in the Tang Dynasty, Zheng He sailed to the Western Ocean in the Ming Dynasty and reached the east coast of Africa as far as possible ... China's ancient maritime trade and exchanges enhanced China's international status and developed China's marine civilization.

However, in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, the feudal rulers implemented the policy of "forbidding the sea", which closed China. Ignorance not only made China miss moderns, the world's voyage, but also made our ancient country and big country with a thousand-year-old civilization vulnerable to invaders.

The establishment of the People's Navy ended the history of China's repeated imperialist maritime aggression and bid farewell to the history of China's navy behind closed doors.

According to Wu Shengli, commander of the navy, as a messenger of peace, the People's Navy has sent 33 ships to form more than 40 warships and visited more than 30 countries on five continents. Shanghai, Qingdao, Guangzhou, Zhanjiang and other military ports have been opened one after another, receiving more than 100 warships from more than 30 countries. Chinese and foreign navies also held 37 joint military exercises.

"Many foreign ships and foreign naval officers and soldiers in this military parade are old friends we are already familiar with." Li Ping, the captain of Guangzhou, said.

Li Ping, who has visited China and foreign countries for many times and participated in joint exercises at sea, believes that multinational naval activities have further broadened the horizons of officers and men and exercised the ability of troops to carry out diversified military tasks.

"I deeply feel that compared with the navies of developed countries, our gap is narrowing. As long as we are down-to-earth, we will be able to achieve our goals and effectively accomplish our historical mission in the new century and new stage. " Li Ping said.

"Warships leave the mark of independent innovation in China"

During the military parade at sea, many online forums and blogs posted the eye-catching slogan "Come on China"-from nuclear submarines to new destroyers, from flying leopards to ambulance helicopters, all China equipment participating in this military parade was independently developed by China.

The 78-year-old Lu was deeply moved by this modern steel phalanx galloping in the blue sea and blue sky.

Sixty years ago, when Lu joined the newly established People's Navy, the naval equipment situation could be summarized in six words: less, small, old, old, miscellaneous and broken.

"The first anniversary of the establishment of the East China Navy, we have 134 warships. These ships are outdated, of different sizes and models, and were built in 10 or 20 countries. 134 ships add up to a displacement of just over 40,000 tons. " Lu recalled:

Today, the People's Navy has developed into a strategic, comprehensive and international service consisting of five arms: submarine force, surface ship force, aviation force, marine corps and coastal defense force. From imitation to self-research, a weapon and equipment system with second-generation equipment as the main body and third-generation equipment as the backbone has been initially formed.

Key technologies can't be bought at any cost. This is true from space to the ocean.

"Excellent equipment is an important material basis for winning local wars at sea under the conditions of informationization. The level of equipment technology reflects the quality of naval construction and development. " Wu Shengli, commander of the Navy, said that the China Navy must speed up the construction of key weapons and equipment, and develop a new generation of weapons and equipment, such as large surface warships, new submarines with good underwater self-sustaining and stealth performance, supersonic cruise combat aircraft, long-range missiles with strong precision penetration capability, deep and high-speed intelligent torpedoes, and electronic warfare equipment with good versatility and compatibility.

"The blueprint has been drawn, and our researchers must be based on independent innovation, self-reliance and hard work." Wei Aiping, a senior engineer at a naval test base, said, "We will devote ourselves to this cause with greater enthusiasm, so that the quality and performance of the new generation of equipment will reach a new level."

"China concept is becoming the * * * knowledge of the world"

"Harmony is the word with the highest frequency, and leaders of all countries have focused on how to strengthen cooperation and maintain maritime security." An overseas reporter covering the activities of multinational navies said after attending high-level discussions.

China needs the ocean, and the ocean needs China.

Chen Hu, a military expert, believes that the concept of "harmonious ocean" is fundamentally different from that of other countries in the past. We do not advocate obtaining maritime rights and interests through power and strength, but form a good atmosphere of peaceful use and mutually beneficial cooperation through communication and cooperation.

"China's concept of transmitting a' harmonious ocean' through a military parade at sea is to turn the ocean owned by human society into a cooperative ocean, a peaceful ocean and a win-win ocean." Chen Hu said.

While becoming the naval leader of various countries, such a brand-new concept has further inspired China people's sense of glory and responsibility for facing the world.

"Western marine civilization was established in a predatory way, while China's marine civilization has been developing harmoniously." Li Jing, a senior student at China Communication University, believes that a peaceful nation is the well-being of the world.

"The military parade at sea conveyed the voice of peace in China to all peace-loving countries and people in the world." Gan Yanping, a professor at China Ocean University, said, "The Chinese nation should start from this new starting point, go to the ocean, go to peace and enjoy the blue."

On the 5th day of China's successful military parade, the first guided missile destroyers "Wuhan" and "Haikou" of China Navy's escort formation in the Gulf of Aden and Somali waters returned to Sanya, Hainan.

China's concept of "harmonious ocean" is undoubtedly another successful practice. (End)

Attachment: a classic example of war

1August 6th, 965 was a famous naval battle in August 6th.

Our fleet sank the enemy ships "Zhangjiang" and "Jianmen" at one stroke, and more than 70 people under the command of enemy Major General Hu Jiaheng sank to the bottom of the sea; Wang Yishan, the captain of the Sword Gate, and more than 33 people under Huang Zhijun, the commander's staff, were captured by me. Our navy sacrificed 4 people, injured 28 people, damaged 2 escort boats and 2 torpedo speedboats.

The "Jianmen" (No.65) originally belonged to the American Puffin class fleet minesweeper (large, steel-shelled) Toucan (NoMSF387), which was handed over to Chiang Kai-shek Group by the United States and arrived in Taiwan Province Province in April 1965. This warship has a displacement of 890 tons (standard), a full load of 65,438+0,250 tons, a speed of 65,438+08 knots (one knot equals one nautical mile), 76.2 mm naval guns, four 40 mm naval guns and a radar.

"Zhangjiang" (No.1 18) originally belonged to the U.S. Navy submarine PC 1232. 1June, 954, handed over by the United States to Chiang Kai-shek Group, and then sailed to Taiwan Province Province. This warship has a displacement of 280 tons (standard), a full load of 450 tons, a maximum speed of 20 knots, and a general speed of 14 knots. 76.2mm gun/KOOC-0/door, 40mm gun/KOOC-0/door, 20mm gun 5 doors, 76.2mm rocket/KOOC-0/piece (group), 4 deep-water bomb projectors and radar/KOOC-0/unit.

1974 the people's navy defeated the south Vietnamese navy in the Xisha naval battle.

1974 65438+ 10/1day, the South Vietnamese authorities, out of the need of internal affairs and diplomacy, actually published a map, which included all the Xisha Islands in its territory, and falsely claimed that China had occupied their Xuande Islands, and in June of that year, it was 65438+/kloc-

171October 17, Wei Mingsen, deputy commander of the 38002 unit of the navy stationed in Qiong, was ordered to lead two hunting submarines, 27 1 and 274, to sail to the Xisha sea area in a formation of 27 1, which was composed of 396 and 389 minesweepers on a mission in Yongxing Island, Yongle.

Islands, responsible for protecting fishing.

65438+1October 19, 10: 23, South Vietnam destroyer No.5 rushed to our 274 submarine. Feng, the political commissar of 274 submarine, picked up the receiver and shouted to the enemy ship: "This is China's territorial waters, you must leave at once ..." The enemy ship ignored the call and the muzzle slammed at the bridge of 274 submarine.

The invasion of South Vietnam aroused the great anger of our navy. In the lagoon, my 396 formation first concentrated its firepower and stormed the South Vietnamese naval ship 16. 16 the ship was quickly shot and caught fire, dragging the smoke and fleeing hastily. Two warships of our navy turned to attack the approaching enemy ship 10. At this time, my 389 ship and the enemy 10 ship just moved relatively, and the two sides got closer and closer. Finally, the two sides fought. The commander of our 389 ship fought bravely with submachine guns and grenades, and the enemy 10 ship ran out of control.

Outside the lagoon, our navy's 27 1 formation mainly attacked the South Vietnamese Navy's No.4 ship. The navigation radar antenna of No.4 ship was torn off in the first round of the main gun, smoke rose from the bridge, and the rear console was seriously damaged, so the ship had to flee to the southeast in panic. Our formation turned around and attacked the South Vietnamese Navy No.5.. After the No.5 ship, the main gun silenced and the firepower suddenly weakened.

1 1 49, two boats, 28 1 and 282, led by Liu, the captain of our diving team, also rushed to the naval battle area from Shantou and concentrated their fire on the enemy frigate 10. 14: 52, this American frigate with a displacement of 6,500 tons sank to the bottom of the sea 2.5 kilometers away from Antelope Reef. The other three enemy ships were also defeated and fled by our people's navy.

65438120, our people's navy pursued victory and recovered Ganquan Island, Coral Island and Treasure Island in one fell swoop. In this naval battle, the Chinese People's Navy sank the South Vietnamese naval frigate 1 and hit three destroyers, thus winning a major victory in the self-defense counterattack in Xisha waters.
