Muli Village's dough sculpture
Dough sculpture is a wonderful work of China folk art, which originated in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties. In the fourth year of Xianfeng in Qing Dynasty (1854), Wang Qingyuan and Guo Xiangyun, sculptors from Yiyang, Jiangxi Province, entertained in Muli Village, under the guidance of local artists Yang Jianqing, Yang Baolin, Yang Guilin and Hao Sheng. They widely accepted disciples and taught skills, making Muli Village dough sculpture the birthplace of dough sculpture art in Cao Zhou.

Around 1908, a group of folk dough sculptors emerged in Muli village, with more than 30 well-known artists, among whom Li, Li and Li were skilled. Li is good at pinching military commanders and beautiful women. He is known as "Wu Wen Erli" and is famous at home and abroad. After 1920, Li Junxing visited Shanghai, Guangzhou, Xiamen and Hong Kong many times, and went abroad to make a living in the Philippines, India and Malaysia. 1926, Li Junxing was invited to perform dough sculpture art in the Royal Palace of Laos, which was praised by the king. 193 1 year, he performed in Moscow again, which was well received by the Soviet people. Through the continuous efforts of dough sculpture artists, the skills are constantly improved and the handicrafts are more exquisite, which makes Heze dough sculpture form a unique artistic style.

After 1950, dough sculpture art was reborn. 1956, the county cultural bureau invited Li Junxing, Fangqing Li and others 10 to set up a dough sculpture group in Heze. 1957, the provincial department of culture instructed to move to Jinan to set up a dough sculpture society. From 65438 to 0958, Li Junxing participated in the national arts and crafts performance, and was received by President Zhu De and took a group photo as a souvenir.

1August, 979 16, Fangqing Li attended the national congress of arts and crafts designers and was received by the party and state leaders. 1From March to May, 1982, Fangqing Li went to Switzerland, Germany, Australia and other countries to give a live performance at the Australian Prime Minister's Office. Squeezing a kangaroo was praised by some people in the place, and his picture appeared on the front page of Australia Daily. From 65438 to 0995, UNESCO and China Folk Artists Association awarded Fangqing Li the honorary title of "Folk Arts and Crafts Artist". 1996 was invited to Berlin to make a statue of German Chancellor Kohl at that time. Fangqing Li's dough sculptures are vivid, colorful and exaggerated. More than 100 generals and modern figures such as Lei Feng, Liu Hulan and Ouyang Hai in his Twelve Women in Jinling, Strange Tales from a Lonely Studio and Water Margin are all lifelike.

In the past, the raw materials of dough modeling were all made of glutinous rice and white flour in a certain proportion, but they were easy to crack, dry and corrode, with short storage time and poor effect. Now anti-corrosion, anti-cracking and anti-drying agent is added, which is more delicate and soft, and the effect is improved. On the basis of continuous improvement, we have created sealed boxed sculptures of figures, flowers and fruits, many of which have entered the domestic and foreign markets. At present, there are more than 100 face artists in Muli Village who have left their homes and traveled all over the world, making contributions to the development of face art in China.
