Chinese painting can't be displayed directly without mounting, it's just a semi-finished product. Only by mounting can all painting and calligraphy be expressed and perfected. As the saying goes: painting and calligraphy are seven points, and mounting is three points. That's the truth. China's first framed monograph "Ming History" said: "The quality of framing depends on the preservation or abolition of real names. Stealing is the decorator, and the life of painting and calligraphy is also. "
The earliest mounting of China's paintings and calligraphy can be counted from bamboo slips. Simplified books are made of bamboo and wood into flat strips for writing, and simplified books are rolled or folded back and forth with ropes into "books". Pictograph "book" has appeared in Oracle Bone Inscriptions. A book is usually an article or a chapter of a book. "Mozi" said: "The bamboo and silk of the book, the carved stone, the carved board Meng." This is obviously the practice of book binding in later generations, but the original principle of painting and calligraphy mounting comes from this.
Nine painting methods of Chinese painting:
1, line drawing-draw the outline and details of the object with thin lines, and the whole picture is pure ink. Some knives are painted in light ink.
2, meticulous brushwork-the delicate outline is called meticulous brushwork, which means that the work is neat and meticulous, the color is also rendered, and it looks thick and dense.
3, freehand brushwork-only write the general meaning of the object, simple and smooth pen, natural pen and ink, colorless freehand brushwork, also known as "ink painting."
4, contour coloring-also known as "single line flat coating". It first draws the edge of the object with pen and ink, and then draws it flat in the middle with ink or color.
5. Accumulate a lot of money-also known as "taking a part-time job". It is thicker than meticulous brushwork and more important than freehand brushwork.
6, thick and fine-for example, flowers and plants are painted very thick, but insects, butterflies, or dragonflies flying around flowers are painted very fine.
7, deboning method-generally do not use ink lines to hook the outline.
8, splash ink method-is the expansion of boneless method, with a large piece of ink color, and then with a naturally formed shade, plus a fine brush stroke path, some places are still white, to see the spirit.
9. Boundary painting —— A painting composed of one or most ink lines drawn with a ruler, which mainly shows Zhuang Yan's buildings in Xiong Wei, such as palaces, temples, pavilions and waterside pavilions, as well as neat and exquisite furniture.
