How many levels are there in the National Chinese Proficiency Test? What is the standard?
The Chinese proficiency test is divided into six levels: HSK level 1, HSK level 2, HSK level 3, HSK level 4, HSK level 5 and HSK level 6.

1 and HSK (level 1) are mainly for candidates who study Chinese for one semester (half a school year) at the rate of 2-3 class hours per week and master the most commonly used words and related grammar knowledge of 150.

Candidates who pass HSK (Level 1) can understand and use some very simple Chinese words and sentences to meet specific communication needs and have the ability to learn Chinese further.

2.HSK (Level 2) is mainly aimed at candidates who study Chinese for two semesters (one academic year) according to the progress of 2-3 class hours per week and master 300 most commonly used words and related grammar knowledge.

Candidates who pass HSK (Level 2) can have simple and direct communication on familiar daily topics in Chinese, and reach the excellent level of primary Chinese.

3.HSK (Level 3) is mainly aimed at candidates who study Chinese for three semesters (one and a half academic years) according to the progress of 2-3 class hours per week and master 600 most commonly used words and related grammar knowledge.

Candidates who pass HSK (Level 3) can complete the basic communication tasks in life, study and work in Chinese, and can cope with most communication tasks when traveling in China.

4.HSK (Band 4) is mainly for candidates who have studied Chinese for four semesters (two academic years) according to the progress of 2-4 class hours per week and mastered 1200 common words.

Candidates who pass HSK (Band 4) can talk about a wide range of topics in Chinese and communicate fluently with native Chinese speakers.

5. HSK (Level 5) is mainly for candidates who have studied Chinese for more than two years according to the progress of 2-4 class hours per week and have mastered 2,500 common words.

Candidates who pass HSK (Grade 5) can enjoy Chinese movies and TV programs in newspapers and magazines in reading chinese and give a relatively complete speech in Chinese.

6.HSK (Band 6) is mainly aimed at candidates who have mastered more than 5,000 commonly used words.

Candidates who pass HSK (CET-6) can easily understand the Chinese information they have heard or read, and can express their opinions fluently in Chinese orally or in writing.

Development history

65438-0984, the former Beijing Language Institute (now beijing language and culture university) established the "Chinese Proficiency Test Design Team" and began to develop the Chinese Proficiency Test. This study began with primary and secondary school exams and lasted for more than five years. February 20th 1990 passed the expert appraisal organized by the State Education Commission.

In order to make HSK a complete system, the advanced Chinese proficiency test was developed on June 1989+00 on the basis of the initial achievements in the development of primary and secondary school exams. On July 28th, 1993, HSK (Advanced) passed the expert examination organized by the National Chinese Proficiency Examination Committee. In order to give more Chinese learners a chance to test their own level, the study of basic Chinese proficiency test began in September. 1995.

1997165438+1October 24th, HSK (Basic) passed the expert appraisal organized by the National Chinese Proficiency Examination Committee. So far, HSK has formed a relatively complete system from low level to high level.
