If you prefer the classical aspect, the ancient Chinese has a good foundation, and the exegetics and philology will be easy. I study philology, that is, memorizing, which is not difficult. I have also studied exegetics, mainly ancient Chinese. Literary theories of past dynasties are not easy to understand. But if you don't like ancient things, you can only choose the latter two. Exegetics and literature will be very hard.
