School introduction:

Fudan University, located in Shanghai, is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC) and a comprehensive research university. Jointly built by the Ministry of Education and Shanghai, it ranks among the national "double first-class" and "985 Project".

The "2 1 1 project" for the construction of colleges and universities has been selected into the Everest Plan, the Strong Foundation Plan, the 1 1 plan, the 201plan, the excellent doctoral education and training plan, the excellent legal talent education and training plan, and the national postgraduate plan to build a high-level university.

Scientific research platform:

By the end of 10 in 2022, the school had established Shanghai Mathematics Center and Shanghai National Center for Applied Mathematics, with 1 national key laboratories, 1 national engineering laboratories, 1 national field observation stations, 5 national natural science foundation basic science center projects and 2 national clinical medicine research centers.

Fudan University Library, formerly known as the May 5th Reading Room, was officially built in 1922. It consists of a liberal arts museum, a science museum, a medical museum, a Zhangjiang museum, a Jiangwan museum (Lee Shau Kee Library) and an ancient books department (the national key protection unit of ancient books).

By the end of 2022, the paper literature resources were about 6021.4000 volumes (including the bound volumes of paper books and periodicals), including 4,757,900 volumes in Chinese (including about 370,000 volumes of thread-bound ancient books, including 60,000 rare books in the Republic of China and 6,543,800+0.2635 million books in the Republic of China) and 6,543,800 volumes in foreign languages.

Paper publications:

In 20 10, science and engineering and medical schools applied for China patent 67 1 piece, the number increased by nearly 30% compared with 2009. The number of authorized patents is 164, and the total number of valid patents in the whole school (under maintenance) is 84 1. Completed the registration of computer software copyright 17, the highest in the past years. In 2009, the whole school published 1958 SCI papers, an increase of 12.98% over the previous year.

The research results of the School of Life Sciences and the Institute of Biomedical Sciences were published in the February 20 10 issue of Nature, and the research papers of the School of Life Sciences were published in the New England Journal of Medicine.
