Virtual reality technology (VR), also known as virtual environment, mental environment or artificial environment, refers to the technology that uses computers to generate a virtual world that can directly exert visual, auditory and tactile feelings on participants and allow them to observe and interact. Virtual reality originated from 1965, a paper entitled "Ultimate Display" published by Ivan Sutherland in the United States at the IFIP conference. The paper puts forward that people can regard the display screen as "a window to watch the virtual world through it", thus creating a precedent for studying virtual reality. 1968 Ivan Sutherland successfully studied the helmet display device and the head-hand tracker.
