This project has formed its own research characteristics in the field of GPS ionospheric delay correction theory and method, and its research level is in a leading position in China and has reached the international advanced level. Some achievements have been called "important original contributions" by international authoritative experts, especially the two comprehensive ionospheric delay correction methods for precise orbit determination of spaceborne single frequency GPS-IGGIRI scheme and APR-II scheme, which have great innovations and advantages in theory. It has also made a breakthrough in technology, solved some of the most difficult key technical problems in the precise orbit determination of Shenzhou IV spacecraft, played a key role in the precise orbit determination of manned spaceflight project and made important contributions. This achievement won two second prizes for military scientific and technological progress.
