1. Set suspense and trigger reading. In the research on the types of reading materials that children like, we find that children like reading materials with suspense, which shows that children are quite interested in the suspense left in the story. Inspired by this, in the guidance of reading activities, teachers can also deliberately set some "suspense" for children to stimulate their reading interest. First of all, teachers can tell stories to children without having to finish them all at once. They can leave a "suspense" for children to guess what will happen next. And start a discussion, and finally let the children open their own books to find the answer. Secondly, the teacher can tell the story to the children first, and deliberately "miss" the middle or end part when telling the story for the second time, so that the children can find the corresponding pictures in the book and tell what the "missed" part of the story said according to the pictures.
2. Contact the original experience. Children's previous knowledge and experience will affect their present reading comprehension. The content of reading materials is closely related to children's original life experience, and some questions that children are familiar with, related to or closely related to children's lives can arouse children's interest in reading activities. When children may have some experiences similar to the plots in the reading materials, teachers can ask children to relate their life outside the book to the contents in the book, which will lead to children's empathy.
