To introduce
1992 graduated from the Department of Geography of East China Normal University with a bachelor's degree.

1992 ——1994 worked as a geography teacher in No.1 Middle School of Anyuan County, Jiangxi Province.

1997 graduated from the state key laboratory of loess and quaternary geology of China academy of sciences with a master's degree, and then stayed in the unit to work.

1997 was awarded the South-South Cooperation Scholarship of the Third World Academy of Sciences to work in the Indian Institute of Physics for one year (1998/3- 1999/3).

200 1 Received Clarendon Scholarship from Oxford University (fully funded) to study for a doctorate at the Environmental Research Center of Oxford University. Won the postgraduate scholarship for three consecutive years and enjoyed the honor of dining at a high table in the college. In 2004, he was rated as a national excellent self-funded international student.

In 2005, he received a doctorate (cum laude). He immediately won the Humboldt Scholarship in Germany.

From June 5438 to February 2005, as a Humboldt scholar, I went to Marburg University and reuter University as a postdoctoral fellow.

In June, 2007, 165438+ 10 was selected into the "Hundred Talents Program" of China Academy of Sciences to introduce foreign talents, and established the luminescence dating laboratory (luminescence dating and environmental change research group). He was invited to visit Britain, Denmark, Germany, America, Switzerland, Netherlands, Australia, Poland and India. Research interests mainly include environmental changes, ancient human migration and evolution, luminescence chronology and so on. The study area mainly includes Loess Plateau, Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, northern desert of China and European loess.

Since 2008, he has served as the editorial board of Geochronometria, an international SCI publication. Published more than 20 SCI papers.

Lai warmly welcomes young people who are interested in building the western region and the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau to join his research group and apply for master's and doctoral students. He also warmly welcomes them to contact Salt Lake College as postdoctoral fellows. The luminescence dating laboratory is open to the outside world, and domestic and foreign research colleagues are welcome to cooperate. For projects with important scientific significance, equipment, experimental tests and personnel training are provided free of charge, and the results are enjoyed, especially for young scientific and technological personnel and graduate students.
