What is the status after submission under consideration?
I think it's under review. It's not confirmed yet.

It is an anxious and long process from submission to publication of SCI papers, and many scholars have expressed their helplessness about the publication cycle of SCI papers. Indeed, there is a big gap between different journals in reviewing manuscripts, ranging from a few days to a year or even years. However, most journals need 1~6 months to complete from submission to receipt. During this period, your article will go through the following States in the submission system of the journal website.

1. The status of "Submit to Editorial Department" is submitted.

2. After the periodical editorial department contacted the correspondent and notified the signing of the copyright agreement, the status of "form waiting to be completed" or "submission waiting for the author's approval" appeared. It may not change, depending on different journals.

3. The status of "Submitted to Editorial Department" or "Submitted for Processing" appears after the completion of process "2", which generally takes 1~2 days.

4. "Decided submission" or "The manuscript is no longer considered" indicates that your article was unfortunately rejected. It usually appears within one week after the technical editor reviews it. If it doesn't appear in this state, congratulations, you have passed the editing pass and the article has been submitted for review.

5. The status of "Incomplete Revision and Submission" indicates that the article is being revised. After the author completes the modification and submits it to the submission system, the status will be changed to "Modification waiting for the author's approval" or "Modification and submission received by the editorial department". This process is as short as a few days and as long as more than a year. Different journals have different speeds.

6. Congratulations on "accepted manuscript" or "submission with decision". After a long wait and repeated revision, your article was accepted.

7. Upon receipt, some agreements will be signed, and the status will be changed to "Certificate ready for audit" and "Certificate opinion received". This process is usually completed in two days.

All the above states appear in most SCI papers and periodical delivery systems. Of course, there are still some differences between different journals. I wish my friends on sci road finish this tangled journey as soon as possible.
