Sichuan Normal University is a key university in Sichuan Province, and it is also the first batch of universities in China to implement the "Basic Capacity Building Project for Universities in the Midwest". It is the earliest university in Sichuan Province that holds undergraduate normal education and has the longest running history among normal universities. The school is located in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan, and has three campuses: Lion Mountain Campus, Jackie Chan Campus and East Campus.
The school has a long history. The school was founded in 1946, and its birth has a direct historical origin with Northeastern University. At the beginning of the Anti-Japanese War, Northeastern University moved to Santai County, Sichuan Province. After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, Northeastern University moved back to Shenyang, and Liuchuan teachers and students founded the private North Sichuan College of Agriculture and Industry at the original site. 1949, the school absorbed Xishan College and changed its name to private North Sichuan University. 1950, the school merged with the private North Sichuan College of Literature to form a public North Sichuan University, which was moved to Nanchong City, Sichuan Province and renamed North Sichuan University. 1952 Sichuan Normal University was established with North Sichuan University as the main body, and some majors of East Sichuan Institute of Education (Rural Construction College), Sichuan University and West China University were merged. 1953, some teachers and students of Chongqing Normal University entered Sichuan Normal University. 65438-0956, the undergraduate major of Sichuan Normal University moved to Lion Mountain in Chengdu. 1964 The former Chengdu University (now Southwestern University of Finance and Economics) was merged into our school. 1985, approved by the State Education Commission, Sichuan Normal University was renamed Sichuan Normal University. 65438-0999 Chengdu Coal Cadre Management College of the former Ministry of Coal was merged into our school.
The subjects are complete. The school is the first batch of authorized units for master's degree and the tenth batch of authorized units for doctor's degree in China. It has eleven disciplines such as literature, science, engineering, philosophy, economy, management, law, history, education, art and agriculture. At present, there are 2 postdoctoral mobile stations, 3 first-level disciplines authorized by doctoral degrees, 26 doctoral degree authorization points, 25 first-level disciplines authorized by master's degrees, and 82 undergraduate majors, of which 2 disciplines have 4 provincial key discipline construction projects, 2 first-level disciplines and 17 provincial key disciplines. It has the key research base of humanities and social sciences of the Ministry of Education 1, the key laboratory of the Ministry of Education 1, the key laboratory of Sichuan Province 1, three "20 1 1" collaborative innovation centers in Sichuan Province, four key research bases of philosophy and social sciences in Sichuan Province, key laboratories of universities in Sichuan Province, and national research centers in Sichuan Province.
The teaching staff is strong.
