" At noon yesterday, near the entrance of the Yangtze River crossing with Yan, many onlookers couldn't wait. At the intersection of He Yan Road and Yanheng Road, there is a white steel arch. There is an electronic information board on the arch, and there is also a sign that vehicles are forbidden to pass. This is the end of Hongshan Road-He Yan Road Expressway and the starting point of He Yan crossing the river. After vehicles leave the ground from the last tunnel of Hongshan Road-He Yan Road Expressway, they can leave the expressway from the ramp on the right side of the arch and go to Yanziji area. Go straight through the archway, and then enter the channel crossing the river with Yan. At the entrance of the passage, you can see the words "Yanziji Yangtze River Tunnel". When you enter the tunnel, you can see three lanes on the ground. Streamlined lights on both sides, green lights hanging in the middle, and traffic signs make driving in the tunnel very comfortable.

The reporter noticed that there is a manhole cover every few tens of meters in the tunnel, which is marked with the words "evacuation stairs". According to the instructions on the wall, open the manhole cover with a flight of stairs below. When there is an emergency in the tunnel, people can go to the escape passage below through the stairs or slides. It is reported that there are 50 such emergency exits in the tunnel.

After a while, signs of guide card and turning right into the center road of Baguazhou appeared in Jiangbei New District. The reporter drove through the tunnel and it took only three or four minutes to reach the Baguazhou exit. At present, a road extending to the north will constitute the northern extension of the He Yan River Crossing Passage in the future. A ramp extending to the right is divided into two branches in front, pointing to Jiangbei New District and Liuhe and Baguazhou Yangtze River Bridge respectively.

Hu Jiannan, head of Nanjing Public Construction Center and Road Show River Crossing Project, said that the actual construction time of Road Show River Crossing Project has been 56 months since it started on 20 17. The project has a total length of 5.7 kilometers, six lanes in both directions and a design speed of 80 kilometers per hour. It only takes about 5 minutes to cross the river from Yanziji to Baguazhou, and then enter the elevated Puyi Highway through Baguazhou, and the whole journey does not exceed 10 minutes.

The north section of He Yan Road is connected with the west section of Puyi Road, and an on-ramp is set on Puyi Road to facilitate the vehicles in Jiangbei to directly enter the He Yan intersection. After arriving in Jiangnan, it will be seamlessly connected with Hongshan Road-He Yan Road Rapid Reconstruction Project. The reporter learned that Hongshan Road-He Yan Road Expressway connects Yanziji River-crossing Tunnel in the north, and Jixiangan Tunnel, Xiaozhuang Interchange, He Yan Road Tunnel and Hongshan Road Tunnel are set in the south in turn, and Xinzhuang Interchange is connected in turn. At present, Hongshan Road Tunnel has been opened to traffic, and the 1 floor overhead tunnel and Jixiang 'an Tunnel connected with Roadshow Main Line Tunnel and Xiaozhuang have been opened to traffic. After the traffic is released, vehicles can reach Jiangbei and Baguazhou along the expressway from Xinzhuang Interchange, without waiting for traffic lights.

The cross-river passage of He Yan Road and the expressway from Hongshan Road to He Yan Road are important parts of the expressway network system of "three-ring, axial radiation and group quick connection" in Nanjing. Their completion and opening to traffic will realize the complete closure of Nanjing's "well"-shaped fast inner ring, and also build a new river crossing channel for Yongjiang River development.
