Our school is a complete middle school, including 24 classes in Grade Three. Grade One entered the new curriculum reform experiment this year. In order to actively and steadily promote the new curriculum reform, the school timely put forward the construction of characteristic schools with the goal of "independent education" and set up the general subject of "independent education" action research. Then, as a new curriculum reform experiment, how to guide students to study independently and realize personalized development under the premise of meeting the basic requirements? We decided to take the preview before class as the breakthrough point and implement the mode of "learning before teaching and exploring independently".
Second, the analysis of research conditions
1. The school has established the research group "Action Research on Middle School Students' Independent Education", which has become a provincial research topic. As an organic part of autonomous education, the autonomous learning mode of "learning before teaching and exploring independently" can get material and technical support and guarantee from the general research group of the school.
2. The high school students in our school have similar cultural foundation and unified knowledge level, which is a research of "learning before teaching and exploring independently", and it is relatively convenient to set goals, determine tasks and preview evaluations.
3. "Learning before teaching, independent inquiry" is the inherent requirement of the new curriculum teaching process, which adapts to the content and structure of the new curriculum textbooks, so that the design of "inquiry questions", the channels of information feedback and the implementation of evaluation in action research have the supporting texts, exercise books and experimental details of the new curriculum.

Students' thinking answers to inquiry questions after "self-study" are checked by students at the same table before class, and teachers conduct spot checks during classroom teaching. The problem solving of "Basic Training" was handed in as the homework of the last class and checked by the teacher.
4. Timely assessment. Evaluate students' self-study and inquiry. According to the requirements of new curriculum credit evaluation, teachers' self-study as an important basis for their usual study is included in credit management.
