The National Coal Water Slurry Engineering Technology Research Center, based on the Coal Science Research Institute, consists of six professional research institutes, including Pulping Technology Research Institute, Combustion Technology Research Institute, Storage and Transportation Technology Research Institute, Engineering Design Research Institute, Additive Technology Research Institute and Furnace Technology Research Institute, as well as several professional equipment manufacturing bases and pulping and combustion demonstration training bases. Subordinate institutions rely on the Pulping Technology Research Institute, China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing Campus) Combustion Technology Research Institute, Zhejiang University Storage and Transportation Technology Research Institute, Tangshan Branch of Coal Science Research Institute, China Coal International Engineering Group, Beijing Huayu Engineering Co., Ltd. Additive Technology Research Institute, Nanjing University Furnace Technology Research Institute, University of Science and Technology Beijing Coal Water Slurry Industrial Production Training Base, Zhejiang University Combustion Technology Research Institute, and Zhuang Mining Group Bayi Coal Mine are specialized institutions under the National Coal Water Slurry Engineering Technology Research Center. The main research directions of the center are:

1. basic research on combustion, flow, heat transfer and vaporization of coal water slurry

2. Coal-water slurry torch combustion technology

3. Coal-water slurry fluidized bed technology

4. High ash coal water slurry combustion technology

5. Oil-fired coal-water slurry conversion technology.

6. Engineering design feasibility study and engineering application of coal water slurry combustion technology

Through the research, technical development and engineering application of 10 for more than 0 years, the institute has developed 15 coal-water slurry matching technology, including coal-water slurry spray bottle, coal-water slurry burner, coal-water slurry online filter, coal-water slurry boiler transformation technology and so on. The research institute has 13 sets of coal water slurry test-bed, including 6MW large combustion test-bed and 3-8 t/h large coal water slurry spray test-bed, and the center has 14 clock advanced measuring instruments. The Institute has completed 20 engineering design projects, 9 of which have been implemented. High-efficiency coal water slurry additive is the key to the preparation of coal water slurry, which has high efficiency, low cost and good adaptability.
