China's great contribution to dance education.
"Classical dance" is an internationally accepted concept in a general sense, which refers to a typical dance handed down from the history of various countries and nations. "Classical Dance" has a relatively stable aesthetic law and a rigorous and standardized performance and training system. It is a part of the traditional dance culture gradually formed by the constant "elegance" of a specific society and its ethnic groups. In this regard, it is a concept corresponding to "folk dance". Therefore, "classical dance" pays more attention to rationality, order, standardization, balance, preciseness, quietness, abstraction, implication and artistic conception in aesthetics, and takes this as the main aesthetic tendency to express its national spirit, which is often regarded as the highest achievement of the traditional dance culture of a specific country and nation, and the so-called "exemplary significance" is also here.

"Classical dance" not only contains "ancient biography" but also emphasizes "post-interpretation"-that is, it is recognized as a "model" and regarded as a "classic" by future generations, and its connotation is a value orientation and evaluation of traditional culture and art by future generations. Therefore, "classical" is different from "ancient", which is more specific to history, while "classical" has a model of historical spread, which embodies the value judgment of future generations and is more general. It can be said that "classicism" is not only a concept with specific historical connotation, but also a concept with expanding extension. Therefore, how to treat the development of China classical dance has important practical significance.

"Classical" itself is a radical word, and its main direction is "Canon", that is, classic "Canon" and elegant "Canon". Of course, the word "code" also has the meaning of orthodox mainstream and classical law. The first meaning of the note "Dian" in Modern Chinese Dictionary is two words: standard. For dance, it should be an aesthetic standard, while classical dance should be an aesthetic standard of dance formed in ancient times, thus becoming an ancient classic and establishing the traditional aesthetic characteristics. This classic aesthetic standard is not fixed in ancient time and space. We can't lock the standards of a country, a nation and a culture in a certain era, because although an era and a dynasty have specific aesthetic characteristics, the aesthetic standards of each era or dynasty are not completely consistent. However, for a national culture with thousands of years of history, its aesthetic standards have some unchanging characteristics in the long-term historical accumulation. In the long historical process, the aesthetic standard of dance has always changed slightly or quantitatively, but its essential characteristics have always continued. The significance and function of classicism lies in cultivating and acquiring the cultural psychology of the whole nation, establishing and supporting it, encouraging and stabilizing it, and evaluating and adjusting it. Therefore, the aesthetics of classical dance has also become a kind of root culture, which has been accumulated in dances handed down from generation to generation. Mencius' point of view is the most wonderful expression of "the happiness of modern people is the joy of ancient times" on the issue of classical consistency.
