Numerical control technology is the basis of machining automation and the core technology of numerical control machine tools. Its level is related to the strategic position of the country and reflects the level of comprehensive national strength. In recent years, PLC has been widely used in the field of industrial automatic control, and its comprehensive advantages in control performance, assembly cycle and hardware cost are incomparable to other industrial control products. With the development of PLC technology, its applications in position control, process control, data processing and so on are also increasing. In the actual design and production process of machine tools, in order to improve the machining accuracy of CNC machine tools, it is particularly important to choose its positioning control device. The numerical control positioning function of FBs series PLC is more accurate than other PLCs, and the program design and debugging are quite convenient. This paper puts forward how to realize the control function of machine tool numerical control system by using PLC numerical control positioning control to meet the control requirements, which is feasible in actual operation. The whole machine control system has obvious advantages such as clear programming ideas, simple and practical hardware circuit, high reliability, strong anti-interference ability and good cost performance. Its software and hardware design idea has reference significance for the design and transformation of related CNC machine tools in industrial and mining enterprises.
