Flower-drum lantern art has a broad mass base in Huaihe River Basin. "Orchid Dance" is the main project for the masses to carry out collective fitness, and the performance of Flower Drum Lantern has also become an important part of the cultural performance of festive festivals.
There are many flower-drum lanterns in Bengbu, especially in Fengzuizi village of Hui. Of the nearly 2,800 people, 80% can perform the Flower Drum Lantern.
Mr. Feng, a famous Hua Gu Deng artist, a national first-class actor, a master of folk art known as "Hua Gu Deng Mei Lanfang" and the founder of Feng School of Hua Gu Deng Art, was born and raised here. Mr. Feng's performance has a strong sense of rhythm, beautiful posture, sincere feelings and charming demeanor. 1952 was invited to teach Flower Drum Lantern in Beijing Central Song and Dance Troupe. In the process of artistic inheritance, Qi Xin, an artist of the Central Song and Dance Troupe, worked together to record, sort out and compile the dance movements and skills of Feng Pai's Flower Drum Lantern into artistic materials. He has been to Beijing for ten times to participate in major celebration performances and national performances, and has been received by central leaders for many times.
During the period of 1952, Hua Gu Deng was performed for Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai, Liu Shaoqi, Zhu De and other central leading comrades in Huairentang. Bengbu City, as the core area of flower-drum lamp communication, has always attached great importance to the protection and development of flower-drum lamps, and established a flower-drum lamp protection group and a flower-drum lamp protection professional committee. The Standing Committee of Bengbu Municipal People's Congress formulated the Provisions on the Protection and Development of Flower Drum Lantern Art in Bengbu City, and established the China Flower Drum Lantern Art Museum.
In 2004, the ancient painting lanterns were included in the national folk culture protection project in China, which is also the only Han dance included in the national folk culture protection project. Bengbu City was identified as the original ecological protection base of ancient painting lanterns. The city invested a lot of manpower, material resources and financial resources to establish the first original ecological protection zone of China ancient painting lanterns in Fengzuizi Village, Yuhui District, which has the largest planting area of ancient painting lanterns, and completed the first phase of construction. Experts from the Chinese Academy of Art conducted a comprehensive survey of nature reserves. They believe that Fengzuizi Village not only has the most famous master of ancient painting lamp art, but also maintains a good inheritance trend so far, which has a mass base and a leading position in the field of ancient painting lamp art communication.
Under the guidance of well-known experts in China, such as the Chinese Academy of Art, Bengbu has carried out reasonable protection and construction of ancient painting lantern art on the premise of meeting the basic norms of UNESCO's Protection of Intangible Cultural Heritage, initially formed an effective mechanism and accurate protection concept of China's ancient painting lantern culture, possessed the basic conditions for continued protective development and construction, and completed the second phase of protection and construction tasks, thus declaring the world intangible culture as China to UNESCO in 2006.
In 2005, Fengzuizi Village was named "The First Village of Flower Drum Lantern in China" by the Dance Research Institute of China Academy of Art and China Dance Association. On April 9th, Zhang Qingshan, executive vice president of Chinese Academy of Art, Jia Zuoguang, former chairman of Chinese Dancers Association and China master dancer, visited Fengzuizi Village to award the medals. Performing role

"Lahua" wears a big-breasted peasant uniform, a pair of trousers or a skirt, and a single braid. It carries a silk ball with ribbons about 2 feet long on both sides to the side of the face, and has "fun" tied to its forehead. The props used in Pull Flowers are fans and towels. During the performance, the left hand holds a square towel and the right hand holds a fan. It expresses feelings with various fan flowers and dance steps, and is good at dance performance.
