What is the story of Darwin and Wallace?
1858 summer, I met such an accident.

Three years ago, Darwin met a friend named Wallace, who mailed a paper from the Malay Archipelago where he lived abroad: on the trend of variants leaving the original form indefinitely. Darwin opened it and said, I'm shocked! Wallace's point of view is so strikingly similar to the theory of natural selection that he has studied for more than 20 years! He said: "Even if Wallace had the manuscript I wrote in 1842, he would not have written a better summary than this manuscript. Now even the terms he used have become the titles of chapters in my book."

Face the reality-as long as he recommends Wallace, Wallace will get the invention right first! Although Wallace only wrote in the letter: "If you think this article is valuable, please tell Lyle." But Darwin, who was honest and loyal, decided to give up his research results and large-scale writing for more than 20 years and publish Wallace's articles alone.

However, Lyle and Hawke, who are familiar with Darwin's research results, think it is unfair to do so. Finally, at their initiative, Darwin read Wallace's paper and his own outline at the Linnaean Society in the evening of July 1 2008. At the meeting, many progressive natural scientists listened to this brand-new theory of evolution with joy, while those who hold the view of "creationism" were disgusted, but dared not come out to oppose it. After the meeting, with the encouragement of Lyle and Hawke, Darwin picked up his pen again and continued to write On the Origin of Species.
