The so-called moral blind spot is the gap between expectation and actual moral behavior, that is, the gap between ideal self and realistic self. To use a very China interpretation, it is "Tao can be said, but not surprising". In the book "Discover Your Moral Blind Spot" co-authored by Bazeman and Tamperense (USA), the author tries to use the new ideas of behavioral ethics to study how people behave and explain their reasons when facing moral dilemmas, and to study the driving forces that lead ordinary people and even good people to act contrary to their ideal moral standards.

When it comes to morality, talk about education. However, at the beginning, the author seriously questioned the "traditional moral education method". In the author's view, behavior decision must depend on four irreversible steps: moral consciousness, moral judgment, moral intention and moral behavior. The disadvantage of traditional moral education is that it only knows rote memorization and doesn't work hard on specific decision-making procedures.

It is also easy for us to imagine some phenomena in real social life. On the one hand, social material is unprecedentedly rich, on the other hand, some people's moral and ethical quality is declining and their life style is decadent. Every time we reflect on these phenomena, education is always the first to bear the brunt, and it is often the focus of education to make up for it. The result is often that educational activities are "colorful", but similar phenomena remain. Too much emphasis on the significance of moral education often leads to only going through the motions in a down-to-earth manner, while other important links that really affect moral behavior fall into blind spots again and again, and the huge moral blind spots of these people have not been completely eliminated.

Although it is impossible to completely eliminate moral blind spots, it is better to use an advertising word. As long as we are good at facing up to the moral blind spots of individuals, organizations and society, vigorously build a good incentive mechanism covering individuals and society, and strive to reduce the negative impact brought by moral blind spots, we can gradually let the beauty of morality explode with the most powerful force in the process of trying to repair moral blind spots.
