Because of the era of fighter design, countries face different situations and different needs. The F22 is designed for Su -27 and MiG -29. Because fighters have different requirements for stealth performance in different stages of combat missions, intense stimulation is often close combat or avoiding incoming missiles. It is meaningless for the fighter to maintain a high stealth posture at this time. Due to the reduction of rudder effect under complex attitude, the rudder deflection angle is greatly increased, and the influence of flight attitude change, the RCS of existing stealth fighters will be greatly increased during complex maneuvers, which is inevitable no matter what layout. Even the RCS growth caused by the attitude change of the aircraft itself may far exceed the influence caused by a small amount of canard deflection.

In addition, in the case of supersonic speed, it is best to have a high probability RCS in high maneuvering operations. Because there is no requirement for the overall structural strength of the ventral fin, the sandwich structure of copper-based memory metal, composite skin and wave-absorbing honeycomb material with magnetic repulsion can be directly adopted. This ventral fin will not only affect the electromagnetic reflection characteristics, but also shield the engine tail nozzle and reduce the lateral radar characteristics and infrared characteristics. J20 is developed with the concept of fast iteration, but it is slightly different. F35 doesn't need it. There are small countries around. f 18/f 16 is enough to take care of them. f22 doesn't need it. The main rivals will be equipped with f35, and the American version of f35 does not need to rush to the front line at all-after all, any ally is suspicious.
