The original gasoline grade based on the engine octane number was changed to the gasoline grade based on the research octane number. Compared with the ordinary gasoline standard, except that lead is not allowed, the high-grade gasoline No.97 is changed to No.95, that is, the octane number is reduced by two units. This is because it is much more difficult and costly to improve the octane number of gasoline through production technology instead of adding lead, which is usually done abroad. Therefore, leaded gasoline and unleaded gasoline will coexist for a long time.
The so-called unleaded gasoline is a development process from leaded to unleaded. The time is long and short, and the situation is different in different countries. The unleaded gasoline in the United States has gone through more than 20 years, and it took China 10 years from the first unleaded gasoline standard in 9 1 year to the implementation of unleaded gasoline in 2000. During this period, the old standard of No.70 gasoline which has been used for more than 20 years was eliminated. The emergence of advanced unleaded gasoline can be said to be a significant improvement in the quality standards of motor gasoline during this period. At this time, the compression ratio of gasoline engine began to increase, reaching about 8.5. 1983 The first batch of Santana cars with carburetor were manufactured, and some Japanese cars imported at that time were also in use, such as Toyota and Crown.
The third stage (after 2000)
The year 2000 is an important moment when the quality standard of motor gasoline in China has changed.
The rapid increase in the number of cars and the serious harm to the environment caused by pollutant emissions force the government to strengthen the control of automobile exhaust. Automobile emission standards are getting stricter and stricter, but without the cooperation of high-quality gasoline, the new automobile emission standards can not be implemented, and unleaded gasoline alone can not meet the requirements.
In 2000, the state promulgated and implemented the new standard GB 17930- 1999 for unleaded gasoline for vehicles. Compared with the old standard, it not only improves the limit of some project indexes, but also adds new project contents. For example, the sulfur content index has been reduced from 0. 15% to 0. 1%, and the contents of metals such as lead, iron and manganese have become stricter. The limit indexes of stupid content, aromatic hydrocarbon content and olefin content were increased, and the oxygen content in gasoline was also stipulated. In order to ensure the long-term normal operation of EFI engine, the new gasoline standard also requires the addition of effective gasoline detergent.
During this period, in order to meet the increasing requirements of environmental protection and energy saving, the compression ratio of gasoline engines has been continuously improved, most of them reaching above 9.0, and a few reaching above 10.0. Engine injection technology began to replace carburetor technology, mostly using computer injection technology. At present, all gasoline engines on the market can reflect this feature, which can be clearly seen from the models recently recommended by China Gasoline Engineering Society and China Environmental Protection Federation.
From 2004, China will implement the automobile emission standard equivalent to Euro II regulations, and it is not enough to rely solely on the technical level of automobiles. Strict emission regulations require the matching of automobile technology and oil quality. The current quality standard of motor gasoline in China needs to be improved urgently. Although there is no truly unified gasoline quality standard in the world at present, after China's entry into WTO, the situation of economic globalization will force us to move closer to the international general product standard.
1998, automobile manufacturers all over the world launched the world fuel specification, in which the gasoline specification listed four levels of standards. According to the requirements of automobile emission regulations, if the standards equivalent to Euro II regulations are implemented, the specifications of gasoline should reach Grade II.
Judging from the existing situation, the quality standard of motor gasoline in China is still far from perfect. For example, the sulfur content of grade 2 gasoline is not more than 0.02%, while the current standard sulfur content in China is not more than 0.08-0.1%; The olefin content does not exceed 20%, while the current standard in China is not more than 35%; Metal content (iron, manganese, lead, etc. It cannot be tested according to regulations, but manganese antiknock agent is still allowed to be used in China at present; More importantly, performance items that were not used in the past have been added to the gasoline specifications, such as the cleanliness of engine nozzles, the cleanliness of intake valves, and the determination of combustion chamber deposits. , and specified the limit. This requires that detergent must be added to motor gasoline, otherwise it will not meet the specification requirements.
It can be seen that although the quality standard of motor gasoline in China has been greatly improved in recent years, there is still a big gap with foreign countries, which requires the oil refining industry to speed up its pace and keep up with the rapid development of the domestic automobile industry.
In addition, the world today faces two major problems, one is the oil energy crisis. The second is environmental pollution.

Only by choosing clean alternative fuels and clean automobile routes that are in line with China's national conditions can we embark on a self-developed and distinctive automobile industry route and ensure the safe supply of fuel for more than a hundred years.
China is rich in coal resources, and it is the only way to convert coal into clean fuel for automobiles, which is in line with China's national conditions. Based on years of research and development, popularization and application, the importance, feasibility, superiority and environmental protection of methanol gasoline are demonstrated and suggested to develop methanol gasoline vigorously in China.

China is a country with relatively abundant coal resources and relatively scarce oil and natural gas resources. According to national statistics, China has 765 billion tons of recoverable coal, 5 billion tons of recoverable oil and 38 trillion cubic meters of predicted natural gas, but the proven recoverable reserves are 2 trillion cubic meters. It is not only the best strategic oil reserve, but also can create more social benefits to use this fund to develop methanol fuel and fundamentally solve China's energy problems.

It is a clean alternative fuel, and the problems related to toxicity and material corrosion have been solved.
3. Popularizing methanol gasoline is also an urgent requirement for the country to strengthen energy conservation and emission reduction.
As we all know, alcohol ether fuel is a new alternative energy source for environmental protection, but it is little known that alcohol ether fuel can significantly reduce greenhouse gas CO2, and the CO2 emission reduction by using a large proportion of M50 methanol fuel can reach more than 32.7 1%.

At present, methanol is mainly synthesized from coal, natural gas, coalbed methane or coke oven gas; In the near future, fuel methanol can be synthesized by gasification using renewable resources such as agricultural and forestry crop fiber and domestic organic waste. We have reason to believe that with the comprehensive promotion of alcohol ether fuel in China, it will not only make great contributions to China's energy security, the country's strengthening of energy conservation and emission reduction, and sustainable and harmonious development, but also finally realize the ecological balance that human beings dream of in energy.
Four, methanol gasoline project development suggestions
Accelerating the development of coal-based alcohol ether fuel has good development conditions and laid a good foundation for development, which can expand the scale of development and replace oil to solve the problem of oil shortage in China. To this end, we suggest:
1, the national macro must pay attention.
The national energy strategy is not completely a market behavior, and the promotion of coal-based alcohol ether is indispensable in the country's guidance, guidance, standardization, incentive and investment.
The development of coal-based alcohol ether fuel will be included in the Outline of National Medium and Long-term Energy Development Plan and the National Alternative Energy Development Plan of the National Development and Reform Commission, and will be promoted nationwide. As long as qualified enterprises promise to enter the energy field, the phenomenon that "enterprises in the energy field must wear the hat of state-owned enterprises" will be broken.
Establish a national specialized agency or department, such as the National Alcohol Ether Automobile Office, just like an industry organization, that is, the National Alcohol Ether Fuel and Alcohol Ether Clean Automobile Professional Committee, which is specifically responsible for the construction, development, cooperation and service of alcohol ether fuel and clean automobile industry in China.
According to the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and other eight ministries and commissions' Pilot Program for Expanding Vehicle Ethanol Gasoline (NDRC Industry [2004] No.230), the state should support the development of coal-based alcohol ether fuel with the policy of supporting vehicle ethanol: if the fuel methanol production enterprises approved by the state are exempted from 5% consumption tax, the value-added tax will be refunded first; For those who enjoy the subsidy policy for the use of fuel methanol, the amount of subsidy shall be borne by the central and local governments in accordance with the prescribed proportion.
2. Implement demonstration projects.
We will selectively build a national alcohol ether fuel production base and a national alcohol ether fuel vehicle industrialization demonstration zone. One is the M50 demonstration project; The second is the pilot of methanol hybrid vehicles.
The research and development of methanol gasoline (diesel) for clean vehicles should be linked with the national No.3 vehicle fuel standard, and implemented as a major event of "energy saving and emission reduction", energy substitution and rational utilization of resources.
The urgent task is to expand the demonstration and establish demonstration projects in areas with reasonable resource allocation, large market demand and convenient transportation. Give full play to the advantages of private and state-owned large and medium-sized enterprises, encourage the use of domestic and foreign resources and funds, create conditions to set up a special development fund for "energy-saving demonstration projects", and promote the construction of methanol production, methanol automobile fuel blending and storage and transportation facilities.
Strategic positioning: The first batch of demonstration projects will have 3 stations, forming a scale of 6,543,800 tons/year.
1) northeast (low temperature and high latitude)
Daqing Oilfield, as a low-temperature regional demonstration project, radiates the whole Northeast and North China. Daqing methanol plant is close to the refinery (≤2Km), with perfect infrastructure, small workload of closed pipelines, complete railway and road transportation conditions, small investment, quick results and guaranteed oil and gas resources. Grasp the project, speed up implementation, and strive to provide clean gasoline for the Beijing Olympic Games before next year's Olympic Games.
2) East China (moderate temperature and mid-latitude)
Take Shanghai as a demonstration project in the middle temperature area. Establish a research and development center and an industrialization demonstration project base. Based on the research and development in Shanghai, it radiates to the coastal areas of Jiangsu and Zhejiang and the areas along the Yangtze River in East China.
3) South China (high temperature and high latitude)
Taking Zhuhai, Guangdong Province as a high-temperature demonstration project, it radiates to South China including Hong Kong and Macao.
On the basis of the experience of the first batch of demonstration projects, a large industrial zone serving key cities in China will be formed by using two kinds of resources and two kinds of capital at home and abroad. In 2008, we will expand the demonstration of methanol and refined oil distribution center, and strive to form a methanol replacement scale of more than 6.5438+million tons in 2065.438+00, and produce and sell M50 methanol gasoline for clean vehicles of more than 20 million tons, so as to promote industrialization and scale.
3, pay close attention to the formulation of national methanol gasoline standards.
We need the support and centralized management of relevant state departments.
As early as July 20001year and July 20001February, when the State Council's Prime Minister Zhu Rongji was deliberating the report on the development of methanol fuel, he explicitly instructed: "Quality standards, usage specifications and planning should be formulated ...". Nowadays, the release of methanol gasoline standard is particularly important.
We need the strong support of the national government to avoid the waste of resources and disorderly competition caused by repeated construction through resource and market research, evaluation, overall layout, overall planning and phased implementation.
