First, it may be a drawn line. You can click on this line to see if there are circles at both ends to indicate the choice, so you can delete it. Like text, it cannot be selected.

Second, it may be a footnote to the text (drawn below the text). I suggest you click the right mouse button offline to see if there are any fixed footnotes and other words, and then select the location to delete.
