Degree application is an important material to record the process of applying for a master's degree. After obtaining a degree, the degree application and defense materials should be stored in my personnel files and school files. "Specialty", that is, two disciplines, must fill in the full name of the specification. For example, the major of "Scientific Socialism and International Production Movement" cannot be abbreviated as "Scientific Society and International Production Movement"; Nor should we fill in the majors out of context, such as "China ancient literature" as "classical literature" or "ancient literature", "curriculum and teaching theory", "Chinese teaching theory" or "physics teaching theory", which is wrong. In addition, some majors, such as probability theory and mathematical statistics, developmental and educational psychology, comparative literature and world literature, biochemistry and molecular biology, should not be written as probability theory, developmental psychology, comparative literature and biochemistry.

"Specialty" and "research direction" are different, so we must not regard the direction as a specialty. For example, "History of Ming and Qing Dynasties" is the direction and the major should be "Ancient History of China"; "Lie Algebra" is the direction and the major is "Basic Mathematics".

The standardized name of the major shall be subject to the admission notice when the graduate students enter the school. If the graduate school agrees to change majors during the study period, a new major should be filled in after changing majors. The degree in our country is awarded according to the discipline category to which the major belongs. Its relationship structure is "discipline category"-"first-class discipline"-"two disciplines (major)". For example, the major of physical chemistry belongs to the first-class discipline of chemistry, and the discipline category of chemistry belongs to science, so the graduate students majoring in physical chemistry are awarded a science degree, and "science" is filled in the column of "discipline category of degree application"; The major of sports humanities and sociology belongs to sports discipline, and the category of sports discipline belongs to pedagogy. Therefore, students majoring in sports humanities and sociology are awarded an education degree, and "Physical Education" is filled in the column of "Subject Category for Degree Application".

There are nine disciplines that can be awarded degrees in our school: philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering and management. Please refer to the postgraduate entrance examination manual or the website of the degree office for the subject category of the major.

It is particularly important to note that basic psychology, educational technology, microelectronics and solid-state electronics, environmental science, educational economics and management science in our school are awarded by interdisciplinary subjects. Please make sure that the degree applicants in the above majors are clear about the subject category they are applying for.

7. Date of request

It refers to the time to obtain a degree application and enter the thesis defense procedure after passing the course review and scientific research achievement review.
