Analysis of the role of pharmacists in rational drug use Author: Realin, Wang Xinmei Abstract: Clinical pharmacists play an important role in rational drug use. The full participation of pharmacists can reduce adverse reactions and improve rational drug use. Therefore, we should give full play to the role of pharmacists in clinical rational drug use. Keywords: pharmacist; Rational use of drugs; Drug treatment With the development of pharmaceutical market and the shortening of pharmaceutical production cycle, drug treatment accidents and serious adverse drug reactions frequently occur, such as Qingkailing, Houttuynia Cordata Injection and Puerarin Injection. More and more attention has been paid to rational drug use. Rational drug use (RUD) refers to the safe, effective and economical use of drugs. According to a survey conducted by the World Health Organization,13 of patients worldwide died of irrational drug use, not the disease itself [1]. Since 2006, our hospital has given full play to the role of clinical pharmacists in rational drug use and achieved good results. The report is as follows: 1. Implement specific measures 1. 1 to strengthen the training of pharmacists and improve their ability. For all clinical pharmacists, especially those with low education level, we should focus on learning relevant knowledge and strengthen clinical function training. Through centralized counseling of clinical courses, hiring pharmacists with deep qualifications and high knowledge level to explain and train new personnel, and implementing the corresponding assessment system, they can become qualified clinical pharmacists. 1.2 pharmacists participate in clinical drug treatment. Clinical pharmacists have a deeper understanding of clinical pharmacy than doctors and nurses because of their own knowledge structure and other reasons. The participation of pharmacists in the treatment of clinical drugs can improve the level of clinical pharmacy knowledge of medical staff and continuously solve various potential drug problems caused by different reasons. At the same time, clinical pharmacists can personally grasp the first-hand information of patients and the basic principles of drug treatment, be familiar with patients' drug use plans and various reactions to drugs, so as to find many imperceptible phenomena, correct inappropriate treatment plans in time, and ensure the safety and effectiveness of clinical drug treatment [2]. 1.3 Strengthen communication with doctors and nurses. Doctors, nurses and pharmacists are three important roles in clinical drug treatment. Any link failure may lead to medication problems. Timely communication between them can provide a smoother channel for drug treatment and ensure the accuracy of the formulation and implementation of clinical drug treatment programs. Patients, doctors and nurses will take the initiative to consult pharmacists when they have pharmaceutical problems, and pharmacists can provide clinical information on new drugs in time. Pharmaceutical communication between pharmacists and nurses, such as drug infusion, injection compatibility changes, adverse drug reactions and other issues, such as the combined use of fungicides and bacteriostats during reproductive period, is generally not recommended. If necessary, the bactericide should be given first, and then the bacteriostatic agent should be given after an interval of 2 hours to achieve the expected effect. If the order of medication is reversed, the curative effect may be reduced or ineffective [3]. 1.4 strengthen communication with patients, improve medication compliance, and clinical pharmacists publicize rational drug use knowledge and health education to patients and their relatives to improve patients' self-care ability; At the same time, it also helps patients to understand the purpose and focus of medication, actively and correctly cooperate with treatment, improve medication compliance, and play a greater role in drugs. In addition, clinicians should take the initiative to ask patients about their illness, medication history and adverse reactions, so that patients can feel concerned, thus strengthening cooperation with clinical pharmacists, and at the same time making patients use drugs rationally, reducing their economic burden and side effects of combined medication. 1.5 strengthening the supervision role of pharmacists in drug use is mainly manifested in the following aspects: (1) strengthening the inspection of prescriptions, communicating with doctors in time, and correcting the problems of irregular writing and excessive dosage of individual prescriptions; (2) the pharmacist rounds system. In the process of patient rounds, unreasonable medication (such as repeated medication; Adrenal cortical hormone combined with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs), to assist doctors to formulate a reasonable dosage regimen; (3) Strictly control the medication time of patients. In the process of checking and distributing drugs, take the initiative to explain to patients with special requirements, and explain the precautions and dietary taboos when taking drugs [4]. 2. The role of clinical pharmacists in rational drug use In the process of clinical drug use, pharmacists are doctors' assistants. Pharmacists in pharmaceutical services can provide consultation on rational drug use, assist doctors in formulating the best drug administration plan, actively participate in consultation and discussion on the condition of critically ill patients, put forward drug advice according to the condition, and monitor the safety, effectiveness and expected effect of drug treatment. Clinical pharmacists are one of the key components of clinical medication. Pharmacists can play the following roles through drug monitoring: 2. 1 can effectively reduce serious adverse drug reactions. By participating in clinical medication, pharmacists can avoid chemical reactions, toxic and side effects and other adverse reactions caused by unreasonable drug compatibility to a certain extent, thus ensuring safe and rational drug use. 2.2 The level of rational drug use has improved. After rational drug use, the medical expenses of patients are greatly reduced, and the occurrence of adverse drug reactions is reduced. Through communication with patients, the psychological burden of patients is reduced, the best treatment effect is achieved, and the hospitalization time of patients is effectively shortened, thus reducing the expenses of patients. 2.3 Strengthen the tacit cooperation among doctors, pharmacists and nurses. Through the effective communication between them, the trinity all-round treatment system has been realized to a certain extent, and the medical quality has been greatly improved. In addition, through the mutual cooperation and communication in the process of diagnosis and treatment, the technical level of the three has been improved, and finally the overall professional level of the medical team has been improved [5]. In a word, doctors, pharmacists and nurses play different roles in specific medical practice. Strengthening the communication between them, especially the role of pharmacists in drug treatment, is of great significance for reducing the occurrence of adverse reactions, reducing patients' medical expenses, improving patients' satisfaction and even improving the health level of the whole people.
