Why are academic journals a vanity fair for big cows? Instead of becoming a growth station for academic grassroots?
After the establishment of Communication and Education Review, I found it feasible to help everyone achieve better academic growth by running a magazine.

Therefore, I hope to establish more journals in other disciplines and provide more people with opportunities to publish papers.

So, I began to send invitations to all academic giants to start new journals in their respective academic fields.

I have come into contact with more than a dozen academic talents.

Some of them have opened their own media, and like me, they tell you about paper writing, which also has a certain influence.

Some of them are editors-in-chief of academic journals and have a lot of experience and resources in running journals.

Some of them are university teachers like me. Although they don't have much experience in running periodicals and new media, they have super academic ability.

However, the various reactions of the big cows surprised me and inspired me to think a lot.

The first reaction of many people is, what's the use of running an ordinary academic journal? Will anyone contribute? Will it have an impact?

"This is too difficult."

Yes, it is extremely difficult for these big cows who come up with C, SCI and SSCI journals to become a good academic journal from scratch.

As I have been an academic tutor, objectively speaking, most of the people who come here are academic white, and have no experience in writing papers or submitting and publishing papers.

It is impossible for everyone to send C magazines at the beginning, and those who send SCI have to do it step by step.

Everyone is not born to do research and write papers, and it is impossible to become an academic bull.

People need to grow up.

From ordinary papers to SCI papers, for most people, it is impossible to climb up in one step, but climb up slowly.

Academic giants have published many C journals and SCI, and people around them are also aiming at this goal. People who come to study are all holding this purpose.

So they think that if your journal is not SCI or the core, no one will contribute, which is meaningless.

But the reality is so cruel.

Let me tell you some real data, which is very shocking.

There are many hidden rules, so I won't talk about them here.

In fact, even if you know an editor-in-chief of C magazine, you can't publish C magazine.

This is a very cruel reality in China at present.

As mentioned earlier, the basic disk of the academic circle is that the demand for publishing is increasing, but the number of academic journals is far behind the demand.

I also want to talk about my feelings from the beginning of the essay writing to the short 10 day now.

1. Most teachers have never sent an English paper or even thought about it.

2. Many teachers have no contribution experience at all, and their knowledge of periodicals is almost zero.

Most teachers are not rich. Even if you can send SCI, you can't afford the 20,000-30,000 page fee.

Therefore, academic journals can't only serve those academic cows whose 10% is less than that, so that academic grassroots have no place at all.

Academic journals should provide opportunities and soil for most novice teachers to grow up.

Listen to me.

Many academic bulls have changed their attitudes, but they are still thinking, can we break these deep-rooted academic prejudices and academic evaluations?

I think, for the time being, maybe not yet.

However, it is not impossible as long as our generation continues to work hard.

As long as there is hope, it is necessary to illuminate others.

Isn't this the ultimate goal of our academic work?

Finally, I sent out an invitation, hoping that teachers who are interested in making academic journals and providing academic services for most people would come and start a new journal with me.

Even if I can make a little change in the academic world, I think it is worthwhile.
