What are the linguistic features of Guizhou dialect?
Dialect is a unique flavor of a region, and Guizhou dialect belongs to many branches of Southwest Mandarin (Shangjiang Mandarin). The so-called Guizhou dialect is generally based on Guiyang, but in fact, the dialect in Guizhou is still quite complicated and quite different. However, influenced by Putonghua, the languages in the whole southwest Mandarin area have a trend of gradual development, unification and assimilation. Unlike the dialect ecological crisis felt by most dialects in China, Southwest Mandarin has not shrunk under the threat of Putonghua. On the contrary, due to the great consistency between the grammar system of Southwest Mandarin and Putonghua, it developed with Putonghua, and most of the achievements of modern Chinese written language can be used. The use area of Southwest Mandarin keeps moving eastward, invading southward, expanding westward and disappearing internally.
