Influence of Double Carbon on Tesla's Internationalization Strategy
The impact is to greatly accelerate the popularization of new energy vehicles in China.

China automobile industry as a whole has a weak awareness of active carbon reduction. In the past, the automobile supply chain and parts manufacturing industry mainly relied on the development mode of high energy consumption and high emission, and there was basically no awareness of carbon emission accounting and control in the industry.

Vehicle and parts enterprises also generally lack the awareness of active carbon reduction, and most of them are in a state of expressing their views without taking action, and have not substantially incorporated carbon reduction into their corporate strategies. However, from a practical point of view, due to the lack of technical and economic strength, it is difficult for many enterprises to invest heavily in carbon reduction.

And from the national level, the domestic carbon accounting standards and methods for the automobile industry have not yet been formed, and there is no action guide for carbon neutrality at the peak of carbon dioxide emissions. Moreover, China's carbon market mainly forms a closed-loop value through compulsory policies, lacking an incentive mechanism, and it is difficult for OEMs and consumers to form a * * * understanding of carbon assets.

Therefore, in order to support the national double-carbon strategy, China has been promoting the multi-technology development route with pure electric vehicles as the main body. Fully consider the long-term benefits of carbon emission reduction of pure electric vehicles, the short-term applicability of plug-in hybrid technology, the important supporting role of fuel cell technology in the field of medium and heavy commercial vehicles with difficult application of pure electric technology, combine the technical maturity, economy and safety of various technical routes, and promote the electrification process in stages, vehicles and fields according to the differentiated progress and application scenarios. Simply put, it is to give different subsidies and tax exemption policy support according to different models. From the current point of view, the policy effect is still very significant.

Of course, it is not enough to realize the double carbon strategy only from one aspect of the popularization rate of new energy vehicles. It is also necessary for factories, supply chains, recyclers, vehicles and roads to work together to reduce carbon emissions.
